Castle - Guest Designer DYSU landscape challenge

I hope this is appearing at the right time..... I will be shot if it appears too early.
I was lucky to be picked as a guest designer at Do You Stack Up a couple of weeks ago and have to admit was a little daunted by what the challenge was. Landscapes !!! Not a subject I had ever tried before.  It took a few attempts to come up with my card and I even reverted back to my old ways and did the castle as a decoupage.

I wanted a fairytale feel to it and used rainbow mirror card for highlights, the other papers, ribbon and pearls  are from my stash. Corner dies from Memory box, sentiment and flowers from WOC and image ans sentiment cut with Spellbinders. Leaves are a MS punch.

I coloured with Promarkers, flexmarkers and Prisma pencils.

I think this is the hardest card I have had to make, purely due to it not being a subject I would have chosen.

Thanks for looking... At this moment I am probably enjoying 40o heat on the Nile.... and sipping cocktails of course...... :)

Nurse - Mo's Digital Pencil

Well finally I appear again. Oh boy what a week I have had.  The worse chest infection in a long time.  My apologies to anyone who's posts I missed. I did try to keep up, but don't think I managed it.  My brain has been on holiday for the past 10 days and is only about 70% back now.
Welcome to my new followers, sorry you haven't had anything new to view, but I have to admit I was very happy with my last one being picked at Saturated Canary, that really did mean a lot to me.
I am appearing to vanish again for a couple of weeks.  Travelling to Gatwick tomorrow to fly out to Egypt on Wednesday :).
The only cards I have managed to make this week is one for a colleague who is changing roles and going back to 'real' nursing and a card for my guest designer spot at DYSU which hopefully if I work out how to do it will appear on Thursday.
So to my 'Nurse' card.  It's from Mo's Digital Pencil.

The backing papers are from Nitwits. Image is cut with Spellbinders Romantic Rectangles. Flowers are a mixture of WOC  Dies to Die for and Hobbyhouse. Corners, butterfly and charm are from Mei flowers. Leaves are a MS punch. Ribbon and pearls from my stash. Sentiment is from Whimsy.

She is coloured with Promarkers Flexmarkers and Prisma Pencils and distress ink to the edges.

I matched the inside to the front, but had to leave lots of space for people to add their messages.

This shows up the hatpins and charm for the Promarkers challenge.

Thank you so much for looking.  Have a great couple of weeks (bet the weather is great... it usually is when I am out of the country).

Blanche - Saturated Canary

Hi everyone from another sunny day in Sunderland. Can I begin by welcoming my new followers I am very grateful for your interest.
Well today I battled through a chest infection to make this new card, coughing and spluttering everywhere.... waits for the awwwwwwwwwwwww... :)
And what have I done but the typical mistake that all cardmakers do at some time or another, didn't read the challenge correctly. I thought it was just Black and White, but not solely black and white. duhhh.
But I don't mind, well not much :)

This is Blanche, yet another Saturated Canary image, Krista really does draw some fantastic images.

I really had fun colouring this, and it certainly took my mind off feeling ill. I wish I looked as good as the lady in the image lol.  I used Spellbinders Labels 25,  Floral Ovals and used Mystique embossibility folder on the background.  I added a Memory box corner and buckle which I sparkled with glitter and WOC flowers.  Ribbon is from Mei flower and pearls from my stash.

She is coloured with Promarkers and Prisma pencils and I added Black soot distress ink to the edges.

The inside reflects the front.

I am entering Saturated Canary challenge # 'Happy Birthday', Divas by design challenge #33 'Monochromatic'    Deep Ocean Challenge # 24 'Use punches/dies'   My Mums Craft Shop challenge #55 Embossing and I don't know if black could be counted as bright, if not it will be disqualified but am going to try again at Passion for Promarkers challenge #147 'Bright and Light'.

Thank you so much for taking the time to look at my card

Whispy - Saturated Canary

We actually have a bright sunny day here and I have been complaing for the last hour because I couldn't get the picture right for this card. The sun kept reflecting off the silver embelishments.  Typical British woman, the weather is never right lol.
Anyway back to the card, and I have chosen another Saturated Canariy image, I love them. This is for the granddaughter of a friend at work.
Shis is cut using Spellbinders Romantic Rectangles, then I have added Memory Box corners, a Whimsy ticket sentiment and Cheery Lynn butterflies.
The backing paper is from The Paper Shelter  and from Nitwits. Lace, ribbon and gems from my stash.

As usual she is coloured with Promarkers, Flexmarkers and Prisma pencils. I have liberally added Stardust Stickles to her wings and the lace of her petticoat. The edges are inked with Victorian Velved distress ink.

The inside matches the front.

I am entering I Love Promarkers challenge # 115 'Fairies';  Saturated Canary challenge #16 'Happy Birthday'; and  Simon Says Stamp 3rd Birthday Bash;

Thank you for looking. Hope you're having a great weekend.

Springtime - Saturated Canary

Can I start by saying welcome to my new followers and a Huge thanks to Kara for her generous present to me.
I would also like to say what a wonderful company Letraset are. I ordered some Flexmarkers and one of them was damaged and had dried out. When I contacted them they not only sent a replacement but a couple of Metalic Promarkers for free.  What a charming lady they have on their switchboard. Definately first class service.
Finally managed to make a card for me, but not sure if I like it. Love the image but not sure I have chosen the right colours.

I made a stepper card for a change, using Spellbinders Grand and Lacey Squares, an a border and motif. The flowers are backed with my latest purchase a Magnolia Doohicky Doily flower. The corners are Whimsy, butterflies and leaves are Cheery Lynn dies. Flowers and ribbon from my stash and sentiment from LOTV.

She is coloured with Promarkers, Flexmarkers and Prisma pencils.
I am entering Passion for Promarkers challenge #147 'Bright and Light', and Saturated Canary challenge #16 'Happy Birthday'

Thanks for looking
