Roses - Jane Shasky

Good morning everyone and welcome to my two new followers Cindy and Lori, so glad to have decided to you join me.
Today's card is a commissioned one for a friend of someone I work with. She has had a few cards of mine over the past few years and I know her favourites are decoupaged ones. So what better than Jane Shasky's 'From the heart of the garden' cd from Joanna Sheen.
Before I found blogging I was really into decoupage and have dozens of cds but this is one of my favourites.

This is an 8x8 card and as you can see it is a big image but easy to cut out. The background papers are also from the cd. I added some Joy Craft corners and SB butterflies and the sentiment is computer generated and cut with the smallest SB Timeless rectangle.
Lace, ribbon (which irl is the same colour as the roses), pearls and gems from my stash.

This shows all the layers.

I added copious amounts of Diamond stickles to the flowers and Glamour dust to the butterflies

The inside shows the alternate backing paper.

Daffodils - Just Inklined - PFP DT

Good morning everyone and welcome to my new followers Teresa and Sheryl, lovely to have you join.  I'm here today with my DT card for this week's Passion for Promarkers challenge 'Circle Cards' which Frida has the pleasure of judging this week.

A friend at work's mother loves daffodils and this will be the 3rd or 4th year I have made one for Mother's day for her. I have used a Just Inklined stamp, and amazingly for me you are only getting one picture (I haven't finished the inside yet)

I have used several SB dies here, Grand Scalloped Circles (to make the card), Grand Circles, Grand Decorative Circles 1 and  one of the new Stately Circles for the sentiment which is from LOTV.
I coloured with Promarkes and Flexmarkers and added distress ink to the background. The backing paper is from Boofle. That fabulous butterfly is a new one from The Ribbon Girls (it comes without the gems so you can add your own. Flowers from WOC. Leaves are a MS punch and ribbon and pearls from my stash.

Our sponsor this week is  Michele R Designs and she is offering $10 of digi papers of the winners choice.

I hope you will take the time to pop over and see the fabulous cards the other DT members have made for your inspiration this week.

Berry - Sylvia Zet, Wee Stamps

Back again :) and trying to keep up with my challenge to myself to produce Christmas cards all year round.  I just adore this Sylvia Zet image (and all the other's she produces) Berry.

She is cut with SB Adorning Squares and I added SB and Marianne snowflakes. Mounted onto mirror board and cordinations. Ribbon, pearls and charm from my stash.  The snowflakes are covered with Glamour Dust and I added liquid pears around her to represent snow.

She is of course coloured with Promarkers, Flexmarkers and Prisma pencils. I also added glossy accents to the berries and flowersoft to her boots and muff.

The inside does reflect the front.

Yeaaaaaaaaaaa We are 100 !!!!!!!!

Sorry to have been missing in action again. I've been having major problems with restless leg syndrome. Can't keep them still, not sleeping and not able to sit still, so hardly been near the pc.
Welcome to my new follower who hasn't named herself but everyone is welcome.

This is a very special week over at The Paper Shelter. We are 100 challenges old and appear to be going from strength to strength thanks to the fabulous images that Veronica and Pedro produce for us. As a special celebration this week we are offering 5 prizes of $20 gift vouchers and this is for any image entered (no singling out TPS images this week) that follows the theme 'Celebrations'.

So onto my card which I made for a friends daughter's birthday. It's the fabulous Rock Star.

She is cut using SB labels 28 with a faux nestie behind her. I added a Cheery Lynn corner and a MB music die. The sentiment is computer generated and added to an xcut star. The backing paper is Boofle and gems and ribbon from my stash.

I cut her out to stand out against the background and added glossy accents to her guitar. She is of course coloured with Promarkers, Flexmarkers and Prisma pencils.

The inside does match the front.

ABC challenge Guest Designer

Good morning everyone and welcome to my two new followers Karen and Judith, it  really does give me a thrill when someone new decides to follow my blog.  I've had a really busy couple of days, and was celebrating a friends birthday yesterday (today's card is the one I made for her). Thank goodness it's Friday, at least the weekend will give me a chance to get caught up with my blogging.
I was picked as the winner and guest designer at the ABC challenge two weeks ago and this is the card I made to highlight their challenge this week.  Many thanks to Pattiy and her team for picking me.

Sorry about the photography I had to take the picture using a lamp and the pink doesn't show as well as it does IRL. It's multilayered using the Marianne Anja square die with the addition of the new MB precious hearts. Flowers from WOC, Sentiment from Creative Expressions and everything else from my stash.
The inside was a copy of the front.
I hope some of you will join in with the ABC challenge this week where it's a colour challenge. You never know you could be their next guest designer.

Thanks for taking the time to look... dashing off to work now

Roses are Red Violets are Blue - Saturated Canary

Well it's almost afternoon on a very cold day in the North East. It keeps trying to snow :(, and this is the start of my week at work :(
But on a brighter note I did manage to finish my card last night. Today I have used the beautiful Roses are Red Violets are blue from the ever so talented Krista at SC. They had a colour inspiration this time, so hope my pc showed the colours as they are.

Again I have used the new SB Timeless Rectangle to cut her out (I really do love this one). The corner is from Cheery Lynn. The leaves are a new memory box one which I cut into pieces. Ribbon heart and charm from Mei Flower. Flowers from WOC and lace, pearls and beaded leaves from my stash. The backing paper is from First Edition Isabella pad.

She is of course coloured with Promarkers, Flexmarkers and Prisma pencils with spun sugar distress ink add to her background.

The inside does reflect the front.

oops my charm moved on this one

I noticed one of the challenges today wants to see the inside of the card so here it is.

This was the colour inspiration from Saturated Canary

Kitten Cuddles - LOTV

Good morning everyone hope you are all okay and that blogger isn't causing too many problems... weird what it did yesterday with all the old post showing up and then nothing for last week. This is scheduled so hope it appears at the right time.
I used another of the new releases from LOTV today 'Kitten Cuddles' as it fits perfectly with this weeks challenge over at Passion for Promarkers which is 'Give us a Cuddle'. I think both she and the kitten look a little sad and needs cuddles.

She is cut with the new SB dies Timeless Rectangle and backed with labels 29. The corners are Joy Crafts, flowers from WOC. Buckle from Mei flower. Pearls, gems and ribbon from my stash.  The backing papers are ancient ones from years ago :)

She is coloured with Promarkers, Flexmarkers and Prisma pencils with tumbled glass distress ink added to her background.

The inside does reflect the front.

Anniversary Surprise - LOTV

Good afternoon everyone. Hope you're having a good weekend. I'm still having mojo problems, I keep colouring images but then they're still waiting to be made into cards.  I thought I had better get this one posted before all the valentines challenges close :)

I bought the set of 6 LOTV's stamps when they were released a couple of weeks ago and finally got this one inked up and coloured. They are cut with a SB square mounted onto a heart square with a heart circle as a doily. I added MB precious hearts and a JC heart. The flowers are a mixture of WOC and some from a local craft shop. Ribbon, gems, heart pins, heart charms and leaves from my stash. The backing paper is one of the new Nitwits collections.

They are coloured with Promarkers, Flexmarkers and Prisma pencils with some Victorian Velvet distress ink to the papers and stickles added to the flowers and wrapping paper.

The inside does reflect the front.

Venice Carnival - The Paper Shelter

Good morning everyone, meant to post this last night for the new The Paper Shelter challenge which this week is 'Alter something or a card with 3 or more folds'.  I'm not really into altering things so I went with a 3 fold stepper card and used 'Venice Carnival'.
My mojo has certainly been on holiday last week, and I did have some commissioned cards to complete which were too similar to ones I have already posted to post again, yep, they saw them and wanted them, and isn't always the case that those were the ones I had already sold !.
Today's card nearly didn't appear either. I had completed it and left it lying for the pinflair glue to dry and a little later I heard a strange flapping noise.  When I went to investigate it was my cat trying to get the feathers off the masks...... she has a thing about feathers... fortunately she hadn't done too much damage, but a couple of the feathers are a little tatty.
I was delighted to see I have 4 new followers, welcome to Donna, Chanelle, Bridie and Halina and oooooo they makes some beautiful cards.
Anyway onto today's card.

Veronica has coloured up this image so beautifully that I decided to use her version and decoupaged the image. It doesn't really show in the pictures but it is in 3 layers. After finishing it I wished I had added a fancy frame around her instead of just rounding off the corners.  The masks were 'found' on the internet and I just added bling and feathers from my stash.

I added diamond stickles around her frame

I hope you will enter this weeks challenge where of course Veronica and Pedro offer $30 to spend in the store if you use a TPS image and 3 images of your choice with any other.  The other DT members have made some beautiful cards and creations for your inspiration do pop over and see them.

Watch this space for some exciting news coming soon about The Paper Shelter.
