Love in Spring - Ching-chou Kuik

Good evening. I just noticed that Kit and Clowder have a new challenge which uses the beautiful image 'Love in Spring' from Ching-chou Kuik.  This is one I coloured up when it was first released but haven't blogged yet. So this is a perfect time to show it.

She is cut with a Tonic circle and layered onto SB grand circles.  The corners and lace are from Tattered Lace, Backing paper from Nitwits. Flowers from WOC, and pearls and ribbon from my stash.

I added Nuvo glitter to her wings and to the centre of the sunflower.

She is coloured with Triamarkers, Flexmarkers and Promarkers.

This is the inside showing the detail of the Tonic Celtic circle die.

Truffles and Flowers - Digi Stamp Boutique - Passion for Promarkers DT

Good morning and welcome to my new follower Julie, so happy you decided to join my site.  Today is the start of a new challenge at Passion for Promarkers where our theme chosen by Julie, a different one, is 'Flowers'.  We want to see flowers on your card either a floral image, and image with flowers, floral paper or floral embellishments, so lots of scope there.  I have used a digi from the 'Digi Stamp Boutique' called 'Truffle with Flowers', he is so cute that I thought he would make a great get well soon card.

He is cut with Tattered lace squares, as are all the layers.  I used Memory Box clouds as a mask and just coloured up the sky with my markers.  The dp is from Nitwits and ribbon from my stash. A really CAS card for me.

He is coloured with Triamarkers, Flexmarkers and Promarkers. I also added glossy accents to his nose and eyes.

The inside does reflect the front of the card.

We are being sponsored this week by 'Digi Stamp Boutique', who are offering the lucky winner £10 to spend in store.

Owl Spirit - Aurora Wings

Another just for fun card, and yet again from the lovely Mitzi at Aurora Wings.  This time I have used 'Owl Spirit'. Think I need to take the fur and feather class to colour a better owl.

She is cut using Tattered lace rectangles and mounted onto co-ordinations cards.  The butterflies are Joanna Sheen dies and the ribbon and pearls are from my stash.

I added lots of faux pearls using Tonic Nuvo drops. I also added glossy accents to her earrings and the owl's eyes.

She is coloured with Triamarkers, Flexmarkers and Promarkers, and I added a little distress ink to the edges.

Holy Night - The Paper Shelter - Winter Wonderland DT

Good morning, it's Friday so that means it's time for a new challenge at Winter Wonderland where our new 'Snowflake' Lesley is hosting the challenge which is themed 'Traditional Christmas Colours.

For my card I have used a beautiful Christmas image from The Paper Shelter called 'Holy Night'. A very CAS card from me.  I created a PNG and placed the image on the backing paper that comes with the image.  I used huge amount of glitter on this one. The trees are covered with Glamour Dust, her hat has a mixture of Flowersoft and glamour dust.  The turnback of her sleeve and dress have Nuvo glitter added to them, and she is standing on Ice Crystals.  The snowflakes are the waste from a Martha Stewart punch. The sentiment is from LOTV and was cut with xcut punches, and finally the border has gold nuvo drops as faux gems.

Still can't get the glitter to show. She is coloured with Triamarkers, Flexmarkers and Promarkers, and I used some Sakura gold pen on the trim of her coat.

The inside does match the front.

So come on, it definitely is time to start on your Christmas cards and you may be lucky and win a $15 voucher to spend in the paper shelter shop.

The Paper Shelter :: Digital stamps, Papers, Printables, Scrapbooking, Greeting cards, Accesories and More!

The other snowflake ladies have made some beautiful cards for your inspiration this week and they can be found here.

Don't forget it has to be a Christmas project to enter the challenge.

Fuchsia Sprite - Aurora Wings

Good morning back today with a just for fun card that I made to enter this month's Aurora Wings Challenge blog.  I have used Fuchsia Sprite.

This is quite CAS for me. She is cut using a Tattered Lace die and I love how the flower frame cuts separately so that it can be made in a different colour.  Don't know what happened to the colour in the photos as they do match the backing paper IRL. The outer frame is also from the same die set, and I embossed the background with a Cloud folder.

She is coloured with Triamarkers, Flexmarkers and Promarkers.

A view of the inside with the addition of a Desire word die and J.Sheen butterflies.

A side view which shows the ribbon, pearls and dazzler from my stash.

Bubbles and Spot - Sheri Baldy - Fussy and Fancy DT

Good morning. I am back today with my first card for the Fussy and Fancy DT where the theme for the next 2 weeks is 'Beach Fun' and Gina is our host.  We are being sponsored this week by Sheri Baldy, and I have used the image 'Bubbles and Spot'.

I made a shaker card and cut her and the layers with a TL circles die to make it look as if you are looking through a porthole.  I used dew drops in the shaker to look like bubbles and added Pearls and shells from my stash. I also added a couple of charms for a little more bling.

I wish I had taken a photo of the image before making up the card to show the 3 different Nuvo Glitters I used on the image. She is coloured with Triamarkers, flexmarkers and promakers, and she really does sparkle in real life.

The sentiment is from a JS stamp set. My other 'teamies' have made some fabulous cards for you inspiration this week, and you can find them here.

'Marie Nyantoinette' a great image and of course the cat looks like mine.  It's the start of a new Challenge at Passion for Promarkers where this week I am the host, and I chose the theme 'Fancy That' (add ribbon, lace, sparkle etc).

She is fussy cut and mounted onto a SB decorative rectangle, everything else is just straight cut and then I rounded the corners.  The feathers are a MB die and the Fleur de lis is a really old punch.  The backing papers are from DCWV and ribbon, buckle and lace are from The Ribbon Girls.

She is coloured with Triamarkers, Flexmarkers and Promarkers and I added a little Prismacolour pencil.  I added lots of gems, a diamonte slider buckle and Nuvo glitter to the feathers for more bling.

This is the inside.

A side view to try to catch more of the sparkle.
