Sole Creation - Creative Expressions

Good morning everyone I'm back moaning again :).  I really hate blogger !!!  I logged in yesterday to get to grips with my commenting and started with my DT commitment to TPS, wow 250 entries so far, so 50 comments to leave, and blogger kept freezing about every 8 comments. So sorry if I haven't gotten to your cards today, hopefully I will catch up in the morning.

Onto today's card which is my DT card for this weeks Passion for Promarkers challenge where Pinky has chosen 'Add Sparkle' as the theme. I decided to make it a valentines card.

I really went ott with glitter on this card but does it show.... well just a little.  I used a Boofle paper and red mirror board.  It's cut using SB square mounted on a heart square. I also added a JC heart border and MB precious hearts. Flowers from WOC. Leaves are a MS punch. Ribbon, charm, sentiment and gems from my stash

It's coloured with Promarkers and Flexmarkers with lots of stickles in red and crystal and black glitter added around the large hearts and to the heel of the shoe. I also added glossy accents to the large hearts and distress ink to the background.
The inside does match the front.

I am entering the following challenges :-

I hope you will take the time to check out the gorgeous cards the other DT girls have made for your inspiration.  Our sponsor this week is Whiff of Joy who are offering the lucky winner a stamp of their choice.

PartyHardy - Saturated Canary

Good morning from a snow covered North East. Yep it fell here again last night by the bucket full, but it's slowly starting to melt again.  No moaning today, which makes a change :)  Finally caught up with my washing and all the ironing done too (anyone who knows me knows I hate ironing, so today I feel quite smug that it's all done).
Onto today's card which is another Krista image that I have had for months, 'Partyhardy'.  She looks so sassy I can really see my great niece everytime I look at her, and she will be a great card for my sister to give her on her birthday.

She is cut using one of the new SB Adorning Squares backed by a grand square. I also added a Cheery Lynn Celtic border, Whimsy corner and Joy swirl. Papers are Back to Basics II from Dovecraft (the green looks more lime IRL). Flowers from WOC and pearls and ribbon (behind the border)  from my stash.

She is of course coloured with Promarkers and Flexmarkers with Dusty Concord distress ink applied to the background.

I haven't added anything to the inside yet to allow my sister to choose what she wants.

Poppy by Mitzi - Scrapbook Stamp Society

Good morning and welcome to my new follower Lindsay I'm always happy to have anyone join my blog.
Hmmmmm what a day yesterday was. The tumble drier came and the men were quite happy to take the old one away but would not put the new one where the old one had been.  It was in a cupboard on a shelf with the washing machine underneath. According the the jobsworth they should only be used on the floor???? strange I've had one on that shelf for the last 30 years without any problems. No he said it might fall off, so even though I told him I have major back problems he still wouldn't do it.  So of course after they left it was up to me to lift it into position and my back is certainly telling me now that I shouldn't have done it ;(.... I searched all the bumph that came with it and no where does it say that it has to be used on the floor. Men..........

Anyway enough moaning and onto today's card.  It's Poppy by Mitzi from the Scrapbook Stamp Society. I really am a sucker for poppies. I love colouring them and love the bold bright cards they make.

It's cut with a SB grand labels 23 with the same cut in matt gold mirror board. The butterfly is one of the new SB range. Backing paper and black gems from my stash. The sentiment is from Creative expressions.

Coloured of course with Promarkers, Flexmarkers and Prisma pencils with a little pumice stone distress ink added to the background.

The inside does reflect the front.

I have used the appropriately named 'Beautiful Skier' and kept it fairly simple.

She is cut using one of the new SB Opulent Ovals mounted on a grand oval. The flower is also a SB poinsettia and I used a holly corner. The papers I used are freebies from a magazine but can't remember which one.

She is coloured with Promarkers, Flexmarkers and Prisma pencils and I added distress ink to her background.

I added a dovecraft brad to the centre of the flower. The inside does reflect the front.

Dan on Sledge - Digital Stamp Boutique - PFP DT

Good morning everyone and thank you all so much for the lovely comments you have left for me.    Last year I was really struggling to make enough Christmas cards and have to admit I ended up using some bought ones for the girls at work..... shame on me :(...  This year is going to be different and I am going to make some every month, so this is my first for 2013.

Today sees the start of a new challenge at Passion for Promarkers 'Whatever the Weather' a nice broad subject, rain, sunshine, snow, whatever you fancy. I have used one of our sponsor's images 'Dan on Sledge' as I do need to make more male cards.

He is cut using SB squares and layered onto a scalloped square. Backing paper is from my stash and the die cuts are all Bazzill basics. Snowflakes are a MS punch. Sentiment is from LOTV on another scalloped square. Ribbon from my stash.

I masked him off and added trees from Sheena Douglas 'Little bit Sketchy' stamped with Ice Spruce Distress ink.  He is coloured with Promarkers and Flexmarkers (the lovely new orangey red ones).  I added distress ink to the background and perfect pearls to the falling snow.  I also added glistening snow writer to the snow under the trees and under his sledge but it doesn't show in the pics :(

The inside does match the front.

I hope you will join us in this weeks challenge and don't forget to have a look at the fabulous cards the other DT members have made.

As I said our sponsor this week is DigiStamp Boutique and they are offering the winner a choice of 6 digital images from their shop.... so many gorgeous ones to choose from.

Butterfly Baby - Saturated Canary

Good afternoon everyone and welcome to my new followers Rita, Hilde and Karal thank you for taking the time to join my site and I hope you like what you see.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh was I naughty yesterday. I tuned in to see Create and Craft at the CHA and couldn't resist ordering the 10 new sets of Spellbinders ( a girl just can't have enough dies ).  Love the new Stamp It dies from Crafter's companion but only ordered one.... I have so many images I haven't used yet I am trying to hold back on getting new ones.  My new Flex markers arrived yesterday and they really do fill in some gaps in the range, especially the new orangey red ones and some purple tones.  The joy of being single... I can buy what I like :)

Anyway onto today's card which is an image I bought when it first came out and have finally used, it Butterfly Baby from the talented Krista.  She has the sweetest expression, love her.

She is cut using a SP circle large mounted onto a new Joy Crafts die that I can't remember the name of and it isn't on the packaging. The corners are also JC. The little heart on a ribbon is one of the new MB dies but I shortened the ribbon. Leaves are a MS punch. Backing paper from Nitwits (teatime I think), flowers from WOC, sentiment from Whimsy and pearls from my stash.

She is coloured with Promarkers and Flexmarkers. I added distress ink and a little stickles to her wings.

The inside reflects the front.

Japanese Cute Doll - The Paper Shelter

Good morning everyone and may I start by saying welcome to my new followers Lesley, Heather and Bronwyn and Nela. It really does mean a lot to me that you take the time to become followers of my site.

Have to admit I have had a mad couple of days. On Sunday I noticed a red light on my fridge/freezer.... not good !!!! It had died.  Managed to find a new one on line but when I tried to order it it said rejected after I had inserted payment details. I tried another twice then my mobile started ringing. Lloyds TSB fraud line saying they had blocked payment as they thought it was suspicious ?????? By the time I cleared it with them Curry's had blocked the payment as I had tried 3 times........ it ended up with me having to go into the shop and pay. Thankfully it came today and is installed. I now have a bin full of food.... who needs so many packets of prawns? My neigbour did enjoy the pork chops, steak and sausages I sent over :)  I have been shopping and the new one is full again :)

Today sees the start of a new challenge at The Paper Shelter where we have a 'Flower Extra
Vaganza'... definitely not a problem to me as I love adding flowers and have missed doing it on my last few cards. Anyway enough waffle onto todays card.

From all the gorgeous images that Veronica and Pedro produce I chose 'Japanese Cute Doll'.  She is one I have wanted to use for a while.

She is cut using SB grand decorative ovals and backed on a grand oval.  The corners I finally managed to get this week and are Cheery Lynn . I also used a new MS branch punch :)... I enjoyed shopping over Christmas and have quite a few new things to play with.
The Paper is from Papermania by Lucy Cromwell. Flowers from WOC. Shoes from Mei Craft bought about 2 years ago. Ribbon, lace, gems and pearls from my stash.

She is coloured with Promarkers, Flexmarkers and Prisma pencils. ( Ooooo did you know that Letrasett have released another 92 Flexmarkers today?  I ordered 18  (I have all the others as promarkers) you get one free for every 5 you order :).  I also added a little stickles to her dress and flowers.

The inside does match the front of the card.

Our prize this week as always is $30 in products if you use a Paper Shelter image or 3 images of your choice with any other image.  I hope you will take the time to look at the beautiful cards the other DT members have made and wish you good luck if you do enter our challenge.

My Fair Lady - Sassy Studio Designs

Can I start by saying welcome to my new follower Laine I always feel honoured when someone decides to follow my blog.
I think I am just about over my bug but have to admit it has taken me 2 days to finish this card and it still needs a middle. Sorry for the quality of the pictures but it has been dark and overcast all day up here.
I have used an image from Sassy Studio Designs 'My Fair Lady' must admit I have had her for a while and think I bought her rather than it being one of the weekly freebies.

She is straight cut and the backing paper is from Papermania. Lace from the Ribbon Girls. Ribbon, gems, feathers and butterfly from my stash. The bottom paper is cut with a MS punch.
Just for a change I haven't used any dies.

She is coloured with Promarkers with silver glitter added for extra bling, just wish it showed more.

As I said earlier the light here was terrible today, must see what I can do with my daylight lamps in future.

Executive Woman - The Paper Shelter - PFP DT

Can I start by wishing you all Happy New Year !!!! I hope you all had a great Christmas and enjoyed any celebrations you had last night.

Sorry to have been missing for so long but after being so busy leading up to Christmas I then got the dreaded Norovirus. Thankfully I am now over it but still feeling very washed out so HUGE apologies for not commenting in so long.

As there is a new challenge on the Passion For Promarkers blog I had to get myself in gear to make this for the 'New Beginnings' challenge.
I have used 'Executive Woman' from The Paper Shelter.

She certainly looks dressed for the part. She is cut with SB labels 25 with a faux nestie behind her. The corners are from  Joy Crafts and the sentiment is Whimsy. Backing paper is Boofle and ribbon lace and pearls from my stash.

She is of course coloured with Promarkers, Flexmarkers and Prisma pencils.

The inside does reflect the front.

I hope you will join in with this weeks challenge were our sponsor is Letraset
