Blossom Berry Sitting Pretty - Elizabeth Bell

Good morning from a dry Sunderland, it's not raining for a change, but oh boy have we had rain this week.  I keep seeing Wimbledon with sunshine and realise I live in the wrong part of the country. (Fingers crossed for Murray today).

Can I start by saying welcome to my 2 new followers, after looking at your work I am honoured that you took the time to look at my work. Thank you, and to everyone else too for the lovely comments that you leave.

So on to todays card. This is one of the new Whimsy Stamps releases. I couldn't wait for it and a couple of others to arrive as I ordered them directly from the USA.

I adore Elizabeth Bell's work, and there is so much detail in this stamp.

I cut her using Spellbinders Grand Labels 1, and made a faux nestie as a highlight. The tree is from Memory Box, fence from Magnolia Doohicky, butterfly Cheery Lynn and leaves are my fav MS punch.  Flowers and corner from WOC. (Smiling here as I just discovered how to show a large image)

She is coloured as always with Promarkers, Flexmarkers and Prisma pencils, and I added stickles liberally to the flowers. (If anyone needs more Flexmarkers Create and Craft have an AMAZING offer on at the moment)

The inside reflects the front.

I am entering Joanna Sheen challenge 'Summer Daze';  Cupcake Challeng #198 'Birds of a Feather'; (there is a tiny yellow one on the seat) and  Wild Orchid Crafts challenge #53 'Punch it out'.

Thank you so much for looking. Hope you have a great weekend.

Daisygirl - Digi Doodles

Well this is my last week as GD at  I ♥ ProMarkers and this week we are being sponsored by http://digidoodleshop.com/store/ with challenge # 123 'Anything Goes'.   Where did that month go?
I really had fun looking through the Digi Doodle shop to find an image for today's card and have to admit I did buy a few more :)
I eventually chose this lovely little lady. She is called Daisygirl.

I cut the card and then all the layers with Spellbinders Grand Scalloped Circles large. I finally managed to get the daisies from WOC, already had the  roses and Cherry Blossom. The ribbon is from Meiflower.

She is coloured with Promarkers, Flexmarkers and Prisma pencils with chalk ink added to sky and grass.

I added Nitwit paper and embellishments to the inside.

I am entering Joanna Sheen Challenge 'Summer Daze'Allsorts Challenge 'Any die will do';  Deep Ocean Challenge #28 'Welcome Summer'; Sassy Cheryls challenge#121 'Summer';  The Paper Shelter challenge #70 'Punches/and or Dies' Whimsy Stamps challenge #45 'Anything but square' and Corrosive Challenge #152 'Summertime Girls'

Can I say a huge thank you to the design team over at I ♥ ProMarkers for inviting me to be a guest on their site, I really had fun.

Thank you to everyone for taking the time to look at my card, hope you like her as much as I do. Please take the time to go check out the Design Team's creations, they are all so talented.

Canarylove - Saturated Canary

Welcome to a cold and wet Sunderland. We have had 3 concerts at the Stadium of Light in the past few weeks and it has rained for everyone of them. Fortunately for me I didn't get tickets.
Would you believe as soon as I got my camera out so did the sun!!! It lasted a whole 5 minutes :).
So for today's card I have chosen a Saturated Canary image that I have had for ages (it was a freebie).

I decided to cut her out as it would have taken a very large die cut... almost regretted doing it as it took so long. The backing paper is a Nitwits collage, sentiment is from Wild Rose Studios and cut with spellbinders. Memory Box swirl and flowers from my stash.

She is coloured as always with Promarkers, Flexmarkers and prisma pencils.

Nitwits papers on the inside too.

I made her to enter the Saturated Canary challenge #20 'Red,White and Blue' a 4th of July type card.  I am also entering Card Making Mamas challenge #48 Colour Challenge 'Red, White and Blue'.

Can I say welcome to my new follower and thank you all for the lovely comments you have left me.

Baby Girl - Mo's Digital Pencil

Morning everyone just spent a hour checking all the blogs I missed over the past couple of days.  The friends I stayed with for the wedding last weekend came to me yesterday as they were going to the Bruce Springsteen concert.  My friend's son's girlfriend is expecting a baby, due in the next few weeks and she asked me to make a card for her. We know it's a girl... awwwww.  So while they were at the concert I made this for her.

She is Baby Girl from Mo Manning. I love this image. I cut her with Spellbinders Grand Scalloped Circles. Backing paper (which is glittered) is from the 'Boofle' pad and Bazzil basics. Flowers and corner from WOC and charm from Meiflowers.  Leaves are a MS punch.  Ribbon and pearls from my stash.

She is coloured with Promarkers, Flexmarkers and Prisma pencils. I have liberally applied Glamour Dust to the lace on her Dress.

It's really hard to get glitter to show on a photo isn't it?

The inside reflects the front. I have added a Cheery Lynn butterfly.

I am entering Passion for Promarkers challenge # 'Glitter and Pastels';   Papertake Weekly Challenge 'Bingo' (punches, glitter and blooms);   Oh La La Creative challenge #108 'Baby'Divas By Design challenge #40 'To Die For'; and Try It on Tuesdays 'Anything Goes'.

I hope you like her and thank you so much for looking.

Wash Day Wishes - Jayne Nestorenko

This is the card for my third week as GD at  I ♥ ProMarkers Challenge Blog.  I have to admit there nearly wasn't a card to enter this week as I finnished it too late to photograph it last night and managed to knock a cup of coffee over the original card, so quickly had to make another one, my original had a decopaged backing, but I just didn't have time to do that again.

This week we are being sponsored by Letraset http://www.letraset.com/  and challenge #122 is the '1950's'.  It took a while to work out what I was going to do but finally settled on a Jayne Nestorenko stamp that she did for the Adorables collection at Crafters Companion.

Have you ever seen such a sad looking cat?  The backing is from the CC cd and is called Grandma's Back Yard.  I can still remember on just like that, can any of you?  I have coloured with Promarkers, Flexmarkers and Prisma pencils as always. The banner is computer generated and cut with a Spellbinders banner die.  The border is a MS punch, and the flowers are a mixture of WOC and Hobbyhouse. The ribbon and corner are from my stash.
I am entering Crafts and Me challenge#89 'Anything Goes'; and Craftroom Challenge's 'Furry Four Legged Family'

Only one photo as I was in such a rush to get the second one made.
Hope you like it. Thanks for looking and do check out the cards the design team have made over at
I ♥ ProMarkers Challenge Blog.  We look forward to seeing your entries

Bride and Groom

Firstly welcome to my new follower and thank you for your kind words, after looking at your site I was amazed at your comments.  I get my scalloped cards from Joanna Sheen's shop, but I'm afraid she doesn't post card abroad due to high postage costs.

I am off to my friend's son's wedding today and thought I would share the card I made with you.
It's Bride and Groom from Mo's Digital Pencil.

Not too sure about the yellow/gold backing, but wanted something to show off the vellum that wasn't too strong.  They are cut with a spellbinders grand labels 23.  The vellum has been cut with Marriane Creatable corners and doily. The leaves are my new memory box die. Flowers from WOC.

Coloured as always with Promarker, Flexmarkers and Prisma pencils with distress ink to the edges and a liberal coating of stickles.

The sun just came out as I was taking the side view, and doesn't it really show off the Wild Orchid Flowers well.

I am entering Wild Orchid Crafts challenge #52 'Anything Goes', Try it on Tuesday's 'Anything Goes and IDIC challenge #112 'Anything Goes'.

Thanks for looking, and have a great weekend. Not back till late on Sunday but will try to check out everyone then

This is my second card as guest designer for the I Love Promarkers blog.  This weeks theme is 'Tuti-Fruiti and we are being sponsored by the lovely http://www.joannasheen.com a great place to shop.

The leaves are also a MS punch.  The two corner dies are both Memory Box,  The flowers are from WOC (I got a huge order last week :)) Ribbon and pearls are from my stash.

She is coloured as always with Promarkers, Flexmarkers and Prisma pencils, and added DI around the edges. I also used white pen in her hair as I had gone too dark, and added stickles to the white flowers but I just cant get it to show.

This is a side view to highlight the flowers.

Yuki - Conie Fong

I thought it was about time to do a red white and blue card, but wanted one with a little twist.  This is a stamp I ordered from the States a few weeks ago and I have to admit I was dying to use her.  She is by Conie Fong who does some fantastic stamps.

Isn't she just the sweetest thing !!!  She was well worth waiting for. She is cut using a Spellbinders Scalloped Oval. My backing paper is an old Papermania one, Ribbon and Pearls from my stash. Flowers from WOC and under the flowers is a Memory Box Madeira Corner.

She is coloured as always with Promarkers, Flexmarkers and Prisma Pencils. I also added stickles to the butterfly and coloured the edges with Antique Linen DI.

A side view.

the other side

and finally the inside for which I have used a Spellbinders Fleur de Lis Square, and Memory Box Ivy Tendrils and Catalina Border.

Bonnie of the Nile -Sassy Studio Designs

Can I start by saying welcome to my new followers, thanks for taking the time to look at my cards.

This may appear to be a weird Father's Day card, but my niece asked me to make one for her father, and seeing as he has just come back from holiday in Egypt I thought he would like this.

I found the image on Sassy Studio Designs web site, and she looks just like a belly dancer who came to entertain us one night on the Nile cruise.
Everything apart from the image is from my stash, and the sentiment is computer generated.

She is coloured with Promarkers, Flexmarkers and Prisma Pencils and I added stickles to her jewellery.

I would like to enter Secret Crafters Saturday challenge #189 'Father's Day',and Cards for Men challenge #12 'Father's Day,

Thank you so much for looking

Patchwork Present - LOTV

This is my first card as Guest Designer at I love Promarkers for the challenge #120 'For a little girl' which is sponsored this week by Lily of the Valley.
I had my choice of stamp to use and have been meaning to use 'Patchwork Present' for weeks. I think the bear has such a cute face.

I love yellow and purple together.  I cut the image with Spellbinders Deckled Rectangles and added a edgeability and the edge of a fleur de lis rectangle. Flowers from WOC.  Leaves are a MS punch. The butterfly is a Cheery Lynn and corner is a Whimsy. The ribbon, white corner,  gems and backing paper are from my stash.

I coloured as always with Promarkers, Flexmarkers and Prisma Pencils and added Distress Ink to the edges.

The inside reflects the front.

I am entering WOC challenge #51 Bingo (lilac, flowers and wings) and Lili's little fairies 'Anything Goes'

Girl at the door - Fay Whittaker

No colouring on this card. It was a special request for a lady called Phyllis who is 105 today, I hope she had a great birthday.

This is from Joanna Sheen's Fay Whittaker Collection and is a decopage.  I added a Spellbinders border and sentiment banner. Ribbon and gems from my stash and Flowers from WOC.

I added a liberal splash of Stickles to all the flowers, but it doesn't appear to be showing much in the photos.

I am entering Joanna Sheen's challenge 'Remember When' as Phyllis loved her garden, and also Divas by Design 'Anything Goes'

Thanks for looking

Mermaid - Saturated Canary

I am so thrilled today. I have been invited to be guest designer for June for I love Promarkers. You could have knocked me over with a feather when I opened the email.

Finally gotten around to making another card, have to admit I felt a little rusty and not sure that I really like it. Love the image which is yet another Saturated Canary.

She is cut with Spellbinders labels 6, with a faux nestie in rainbow mirror card. Backing papers are from Nitwits. Embelishments and pearls are from my stash. The sentiment is from a freebie set I got ages ago.

She is coloured as always with Promarkers, Flexmarkers and Prisma pencils and edged with distress ink.
(Don't know what is wrong with my camera because she looks a little out of focus to me, or it could be just my eyes)

The inside reflects the front.

I am entering I love Promarkers challenge # 119 'Use a digi',  Allsorts Challenge Wk 157 'Beside the seaside' and Do You Stack Up challenge 'Under the sea'.

Can I say a huge thank you to everyone who follows my blog and leaves comments for me, you really are a great encouragement.
Promise my next one will be better, it has to be as it will be for my GD spot :).

Thanks again for looking

Leibster Blog Award

Good afternoon everyone

I just wanted to tell you some lovely news... I returned from holiday to find I had a couple of new followers and I've been nominated by one of them, Janine, for the Leibster Blog award.  Thanks Janine it's a lovely compliment. Welcome to my new faces and thanks for showing an interest in my blog.

The idea of the Leibster Blog Award is to spread the love from one small blog (under 200 followers) to other small blogs. This helps to spread knowledge and readership.

To accept the award, you must:
  1. Link back to the person who gave it and thank them for thinking of you.
  2. Post the award on your blog.
  3. Give the award to 5 bloggers (with less than 200 followers) that you appreciate and value.
  4. Leave a comment on the blogs of the 5 people you have chosen to let them know.

"Liebster" in German means "dearest", so to carry on the liebster tradition, I am going to pass the award on to 5 people who's blogs have been an inspiration to me and my crafting.

There are so many wonderful blogs that it is hard to chose just 5. I'm nominating people who haven't already received the award, so this has helped me in my choice.

My nominations are :

Please go and check out their blogs. There are some fantastic creations.

Thanks for dropping by.
