Blue Sea - Ching-Chou Kuik - Fussy and FancyDT.

Good morning and welcome to my first post of the day.  I am hosting the challenge at Fussy and fancy this week and have chosen the theme of 'Let's Fly Away'.  This is a really easy theme as it can be flying off to holiday destinations, or things with wings (Fairies, Butterfly's etc).

So today I have used Blue Sea Illusion by Ching-Chou Kuik. I loved colouring this one up, and I'm really pleased with how her blue hair turned out.

She is cut using Tonic rectangles, and my layeringnuses coordination card and Hunkydory satin card.  I embossed using a CC butterfly folder.  The spray of butterflies is from Joanna Sheen and the ribbon and gems are from my stash.

A close up shows I added glitter to the butterflies, and glossy accents to her eyes and the 'jewel', and finally some nuvo drops to the flowers in her hair.

She is coloured with Letraset markers and a little Prismacolour pencils to add more definition.

The inside does reflect the front

We are being sponsored this week by Noor Design who are offering the lucky winner a £10 voucher to spend in their store.

The other ladies on the DT as usual have made some unbelievable projects for your inspiration this week, I hope you will check them out here.

Steampunk Dragonfly - Ching Chou Kuik - Fussy and Fancy DT

Good morning again. And now for something completely different to my normal cards.  I coloured up this digi 'Steampunk Dragonfly' from Ching Chou Kuik a while ago, and waited to use it for a DT card. I thought this weeks challenge at Fussy and Fancy  was perfect for it

She is fussy cut and added to some Graphic 45 card.  The layers are TH metalic card in  copper.  Yes ................. I actually cut into 2 treasured card packs :)

I added a Cheery Lynn border and some sprockets from SB.  I bought a pack of mixed metallic elements (I think from The Works) and made the little 'flowers'. The sentiment is a MB die with the bottom loops removed.

The dragonfly, clocks and corners are from 'Live and Love Crafts', and they are our sponsor this week.  Sandy is offering a £10 voucher to the winner.

A close up, I added glossy accents to her goggles and black aurora borealis pearls to the centres of the cogs.

this one shows the copper card better than the straight one

This is the inside of the card where I have added a Penny Black sentiment.

Wait till you see what my other teamies have made for you inspiration this week, totally amazing cards for your inspiration, and you can find them here, and of course full details are available on their blogs.

Lily Lullaby - Ching Chou Kuik - Passion for Promarkers DT

Good morning and welcome to another challenge at Passion for Promarkers where Marie has chosen the theme of 'Flowers'.  This can be flowers added to your project, backing paper or an image of Flowers or with flowers.

I have used a digi from Ching chou Kuik called Lily Lullaby which has flowers as part of the image, and added lots more.

I have used a monochrome palate. She is cut using TL ovals with 2 mounts behind her.  The image has so many flowers that I stayed with a plain background and added Lace from Joanna Sheen, Noor corners and Cheery Lynn butterflies and leaf flourish.  Ribbon pearls and dazzler from my stash. The flowers are from WOC.

A close up of the image which is coloured with Triamarkers, Flexmarkers and Promarkers. I  added a little glitter to her hair ornaments and some Nuvo drops to the butterflies.

A view of the inside with TL roses and a CC sentiment.

We are lucky to have 2 generous sponsors this week.  Firstly we have Michele R Designs who is offering one lucky winner a €10.00 voucher to spend in their online store.

Love in Spring - Ching-chou Kuik

Good evening. I just noticed that Kit and Clowder have a new challenge which uses the beautiful image 'Love in Spring' from Ching-chou Kuik.  This is one I coloured up when it was first released but haven't blogged yet. So this is a perfect time to show it.

She is cut with a Tonic circle and layered onto SB grand circles.  The corners and lace are from Tattered Lace, Backing paper from Nitwits. Flowers from WOC, and pearls and ribbon from my stash.

I added Nuvo glitter to her wings and to the centre of the sunflower.

She is coloured with Triamarkers, Flexmarkers and Promarkers.

Carnation Love - Ching-Chou Kuik

Good afternoon. I'm back with another Ching-Chou Kuik image 'Carnation Love'.  This was generously given as a freebie to enter the facebook May challenge 'Flowers in Bloom' which can be found here.

She is fussy cut and mounted onto a background I created with 'Craft Artist'.  She is then mounted onto a SB labels 1 and Decorative labels 1 with a mixture of co-ordinations and mirror card. The sentiment is from LOTV mounted onto punched circles.  The flower is a MB  die.

She is coloured with Tria, Flex and Promarkers and I added glamour dust to her tail and to the moon.  She also has tiny pearls on her bracelet and hair comb.

The glitter and mirror card actually show on this one.

Peony - Ching-Chou Kuik

Good morning back today to show another Ching-Chou Kuik image, 'Peony'. I have to admit this one makes me think of Medieval times, she could be Lady Guinevere waiting for either King Arthur or is it Sir Lancelot?.....

She is straight cut and mounted onto a Tonic frame. I also cut the extra mount behind her using Tonic layering rectangles.  The lace die is from Tattered Lace and the sentiment is from Memory Box. Flowers from WOC, ribbon, pearls, dazzler and butterfly from my stash.  The backing papers are from Papermania.

She is coloured up with Tria, Flex and Promarkers, and I added glossy accents to her jewels.

The inside of the card with another Tonic frame as the focal point.

I am sorry these look a little dark but I gave up waiting for the sun to come out :)

Hello Magnolia - Ching Chou Kuik

Good morning and welcome to a sunny north east England.  Today I have another just for fun card.  For this I have used a Ching-Chou Kuik image 'Hello Magnolia', available here.  I have been off work for the past month with neck problem and have spent my time colouring lots of beautiful images, this is certainly one of them

A dramatic red and black, not my usual colours. She is straight cut and the backing paper is from DCWV (I actually cut up a sheet instead of just looking at it). She is mounted on Coordinations black card. The border punch is from MS. Dazzler from Hobby House. I was really daring on this card and stamped my sentiment (from Creative Expressions) straight onto the card. Ribbon from my stash.

She is coloured with Promarkers and Flex markers.

Lily Commitment - Ching Chou Kuik

Good morning, today I have another card using one of Ching-Chou Kuik's amazing images 'Lily Commitment'.  I also used a background scene from Sassy Cheryl which unfortunatel is now discontinued.

She is straight cut as are the mounts she is on.  I used black and turquoise glitter card and added Nuvo glitter to the waves and bubbles. The scales on her tail are also picked out with the green version of Nuvo.  The shells are mostly real ones with a couple of scallops from Leif Creative. I added some blue mesh and a pearl string and a few charms from my stash.

I wish I knew a way of getting the glitter to show up in photo's. You can pick out that the bubbles have glossy accents added, as do the pearls she is wearing. She is coloured with Promarkers, Flexmarkers and Triamarkers. I Airbrushed the background with a SN marker.

This is an angled photo trying to get the sparkle to show.

Pug Love - Ching Chou Kuik - Passion for Promarkers DT

Good morning I am back today with a card for our new challenge at Passion for Promarkers.  The theme chosen by Julie is 'Blue Skies' (shades of blue).  I have used another Ching Chou Kuik image, 'Pug Love'.  It's for my nieces birthday and she is mad about Pugs.

For a change I have made a stepper card using the Tattered lace template die. So easy to use as it comes with all the layers as well as the main shape of the card.  The Celtic border is from Cheery Lynn. Side panel decoration from Joy Crafts. Flowers from WOC and ribbon from my stash.  The text was on the front of a TL magazine.

She is of course coloured with Promarkers, Flexmarkers and Triamarkers.  I used a spectrum noir pen in my EBrush to create the blue sky. (Unfortunately the adapter for Promarkers isn't available yet so I did buy a pack of 6 blue SNs)

No glitter this time but I did add glossy accents to the Pugs nose and eyes, and to her eyes.

We are being sponsored this week by Little Claire who are offering one of their design sets (Changing Birdhouse click HERE to see it on site)

My other teamies have again made fabulous cards for your inspiration this week, and I hope you will take the time to check them out.
