Spring Elves - The Paper Shelter - TPS.DT

Good morning everyone it with a little heavy heart that today is my last day on The Paper Shelter design team.  I have been with them for almost 2 years and felt it was time to give someone else the chance to work with their beautiful images.  I have thoroughly enjoyed my time with them.

Today's challenge is 'Spring Delights' and I have chosen one of the newest images 'Spring Elves' to work with.

I think they are charming. They are cut with a SB grand circle and mounted onto a grand decorative circle.

I used a MB tree, floral border and 2 flower stems. The fence is from Doohicky. The larger butterflies and the grass border are Cheery Lynn and the small butterflies are a MS punch. Gems from my stash.

They are coloured of course with Promarkers, Flexmarkers, Triamarkers and a Little Prisma Pencil. I added distress ink to the background. 

I hadn't finished the inside when I took the photo's but it does match the inside.

There's a Fairy in my tea - The Paper Shelter -TPS DT

Good morning everyone back again, and thankfully getting most things working on the new pc.  Today is the start of a new challenge at The Paper Shelter where our theme this week is 'Away with the Fairies'. I just had to used the delightful 'There's a Fairy in my tea' for this one and teamed her up with a backing sheet from 'Love and Letters (04)'.

I fussy cut her and mounted the backing on SB grand labels 1 with layers of decorative grand labels 1.  The butterfly is MB and sentiment LOTV mounted onto a Lacey circle and the smallest of the decorative labels. Flowers from WOC and ribbon from The Ribbon Girl. The leaves are a MS punch. Pearls and charm from my stash.

She is of course coloured with Promarkers, Flexmarkers, Triamarkers and Prisma pencil, and I did add a little stickles here and there.

The inside does reflect the front.

Cute Cave Girl - The Paper Shelter - TPS DT

Good morning everyone, back again, but this time with my TPS head on.  Today is the start of a new challenge 'Animal Crackers' and oh my have The Paper Shelter girls made some gorgeous cards for your inspiration this week.

I have used Cute Cave Girl and decided to go with decoupage as Veronica's colouring is so stunning here.

She really is so cute and as for her crazy pet.... So no colouring for me and I used to backing that come with her only adding a couple of layers of co-ordinations and a few pearls from my stash. U also added glossy accents to her eyes and mouth and the the cat's nose and teeth.

There are actually 5 layers to her and the great thing is you get a matching 'plain' backing to use as the insert for your card so it keeps everything matching beautifully.

As always Veronica and Pedro are offering $30 in store credit for a project using a TPS image and 3 digi's of your choice for any other image used.

Stylish Flirting - The Paper Shelter - TPS DT

Hi everyone, back with a card for this weeks The Paper Shelter challenge where the theme this week is  'Be My Valentine'.  I have used one of the newest images 'Stylish Flirting' which I have added to a background from an art deco cd.

I think they work really well together. My backing paper is from Nitwits, Butterfly swirls are from Joanna Sheen. Large hearts and heart border from Joy Crafts and large butterfly from Memory Box.It doesn't show but the dark red is a mixture of red mirror and glitter board.  

They are of course coloured with Triamarkers, Promarkers and Flexmarkers with some added Prisma pencil. I also decided to add a little white pen to highlight the dress, and added glossy accents to her earring.

Wish I could get the sparkle to show :(

Delicious Cocoa - The Paper Shelter - TPS DT

Good morning everyone. Today is the start of a new challenge at The Paper Shelter, where the theme this week is 'All Wrapped Up'.  If you check out my teamies cards you will see that this can be interpreted in a few ways.

I have made a male card for a change and used 'Delicious Cocoa' as he is certainly wrapped for cold weather.  He is cut with a SB grand circle with a faux nestie behind him. The papers are from papermania. Sentiment stamp from LOTV and ribbon and cardcandi from my stash.

He is of course coloured with Promarkers, Flexmarkers, Triamarkers and a little Prisma pencil. I also used distress ink and stain on the background.

The inside is a reversal of the front.

Cleo - The Paper Shelter - TPSDT

Good morning everyone back again this time with a card for the new The Paper Shelter Challenge where the theme this week is 'Winter Blues' (A card with mainly blue as the colour)

I chose to use the Tony and Cleo image without Tony :).  I made so many Christmas cards I felt I needed to get away from winter cards and made this one for my niece's birthday as she loves anything Egyptian.

I used the background that comes with the image but changed the colour to blue. She is fussy cut and mounted onto gold mirror card and coordinations. The addition of a peel off. ribbon and some gems and voila.

She is of course coloured with Promarkers, Flexmarkers, Triamarkers and I also used a gold sparkle Sakura pen on her crown, hair and bangle.

The inside does reflect the front.

The prize this week as always is $30 of digi's if you use a TPS image, and 3 digi's of your choice for any other image.

Unforgettable Moment - The Paper Shelter - TPS DT

Good morning everyone. Hope you enjoyed our birthday blog hop and hope some of you are winners. Thank you for the comments you left for me.

Today is the start of our Christmas challenge at The Paper Shelter, but it doesn't have to be a Christmas card as the theme is anything goes.  This challenge will run for 3 weeks and unfortunately we will not be commenting on the entries as we are all having a break over the holiday period.

I decided to use 'Unforgettable Moment' and made her into a Christmas card.  I kept the embellishments to a minimum to try to save on postage.

I coloured her with Promarkers, Flexmarkers and Triamarkers with a little Prisma pencil for more depth.  She is then fussy cut.  The arch window frame is from Memory Box with LOTV paper behind it and glazed with Crafters Companion printed acetate. The corners, bow and backing papers are from my stash and the sentiment is a peel off.

Her earrings and broach have pearl drops added to them and some Sakura pen to bring out the gold.

The inside does match the front.

Our prize is back to normal a very generous $30 to spend in the shop for any project using a TPS image, or 3 digi's of your choice for any other image.

The leaf swirls are a Marianne creatable. Flowers from WOC and sentiment is a LOTV stamp mounted on a SB Lacey Circle. Ribbon, corner and pearls from my stash.

She is of course coloured with Promarkers, Flexmarkers, Triamarkers and Prisma pencils with distress ink added behind her.

The inside does match the front.

Coffee Break - The Paper Shelter - TPSDT

Good morning everyone, hope you are all well and getting sorted for Christmas.  This weeks challenge at The Paper Shelter is 'Shopping Spree'.  Unfortunately there are only a couple of images that fit the challenge so thinking out of the box I have an online shopper. (Have to admit I do that a lot, save all the hassle of crowds and freezing).

For today's challenge I have used the image 'Coffee Break' and made my own sentiment to fit the challenge.

A really simple design but I think it shows off the image well. She is cut with SB Lattice Rectangles and mounted on coordinations card. The ribbon and corners are from my stash.

She is coloured with Promarkers, Flexmarkers and Triamarkers with a little Prisma pencil for added details. I also added distress ink to the background.

The backing papers are from Dovecraft and I added glossy accents to her glasses and to the laptop.

The prize this week, as always is a $30 voucher if you use a paper shelter image, or 3 digis of your choice for any other image.
