Spritz - Saturated Canary

Well here I am with another Christmas card, and unfortunately I still have quite a few to make :(
I bought this image ages ago and finally got him printed off. Isn't he the cutest... He's Spritz from the oh so talented Krista.

I couldn't resist the latest Nitwits papers. He is cut using SB labels 28 with a tiny faux nestie behind him. The trees are from Marianne and the corner is a Joy Crafts. The sentiment is LOTV and the ribbon and gems are from my stash.

He is coloured with Promarkers and Flexmarkers and I did add distress ink to the background and around the trees. I ended up having to cut him out as I picked up the wrong distress ink, and broken china does not go with this blue, this is stormy sky. I also added stickles to the bell on his hat.

The inside does match the front of the card.

Thanks for taking the time to look at my card. Would you believe I haven't got my Christmas tree up yet but I am off to rectify that now. I will be around later to check on your great cards.

Christmas Angel - Saturated Canary

Good afternoon everyone and welcome to my new follower Angelique who makes fabulous cards.
Today's card is definitely non-traditional Christmas colours and is 'Christmas Angel' a beautiful Krista image.

She is cut with SB oval and backed with a scalloped oval. Layered onto Marianne creatable squares. I have also added a Cottage Cutz Christmas doily and part of a MB frosty border. The pink paper is from Nitwits and the other and ribbon, pearls, lace, feather and charm from my stash. The flowers are WOC.

She is coloured with Promarkers, Flexmarkers and Prisma pencils. I also added distress ink to the background, Glamour Dust to her wings and glossy accents to her eyes and the baubles.

The inside reflects the front but with a double paper lace added. I also added stickles to the flowers and the sentiment was a magazine freebie.

Thanks for taking the time to look at my blog. Hope you are all sorted out for Christmas, I'm nearly there but still have a few more cards to make and 2 prezzies to buy.
Have a good weekend

Three Little Angels - LOTV

Good afternoon from a very cold North East England, but no snow thank goodness. For today's card, yes another Christmas card, I have used a LOTV stamp 'Three Little Angels' and they really do look so angelic.  I have to admit I wasn't sure about the colours I have used here but it is growing on me.

It is cut using SB decorative lables 27 with a SB poinsettia and memory box frosty corner and border. The backing paper, silver mirror board, ribbon, gems, holly charm and sentiment are from my stash.

They are coloured with Promarkers, Flexmarkers and Prisma pencils with distress ink around them.

I added loads of glamour dust to them and the clouds and matched the inside to the front.  I've no idea why the sentiment appears green as it does match their dresses.

Thanks for taking the time to look at my card. Hope all you preparations for Christmas are going well.

Touched by Love - Crissy Armstrong

Can I start by saying welcome to my new follower Betty, I am always very flattered when someone decides to be a follower.
Today I have used a Whimsy digi I bought ages ago and had quite forgotten about. It's perfect for one of my friends. It's the gorgeous 'Touched by Love' by Crissy Armstong and I love it.

She is cut using SB Marvellous Squares and I cut it again in gold and kept the outer edge as a mount. The corner is a MB and the flowers are from WOC. Small corner, pearls ribbon and gold beads from my stash. (The beads are actually off last years Christmas cracker).

She is coloured of course with Promarkers, Flexmarkers and Prisma pencils. I also added loads of Glamour Dust to her wings and the baby blanket. I also used distress ink to the background.

The inside does match the front of the card.

Snowman Choir - Sugar Nellie

Good morning everyone hope you are feeling better than me. Off work with a stinking head cold, but pumping in the cold remedy, and I don't mean rum and blackcurrant :)

I made this a few days ago when my new stamps arrived, it's another Sugar Nellie 'Snowman Choir'.  Isn't it amazing how you have an image in your mind when you start a card then end up doing something completely different. I went from having 3 dp to using none.

I am a bit of a spendaholic when it comes to dies and stamps and I had bought my lamp post and mistle toe MB dies a few weeks ago and was determined to use them. To have them really stand out I decided that a plain core'dinations card was all it needed with silver mirror board as a mount.  I stamped and cut the image using SB labels 25, masked and then added distress ink to the background.

Coloured of course with Promarkers and copious amounts of Glamour Dust added and Ice crystals for the snow they are standing on.

I also added 2 MB fences and cut the LOTV sentiment and backed it with a SB lacy square. Flowers are from WOC with a little Snowtex added to the roses The 'snow falling' is peel off as is the holly corner. Pearls and charm from my stash.

The inside does reflect the front.

Thanks for taking the time to look. I will get around to your blogs when my head clears a little, it feels as if it is full of cotton wool atm.

Good Morning fellow crafters and welcome to The Paper Shelter Blog Hop. Our hop is a very exciting one for all of us at it is in celebration of our 2nd Birthday!!!! If you have landed here from  Angelique's blog then you're heading in the right direction - if not then you'll want to head on back to The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog to start again, as you'll not want to miss out on this one! Our Design Team have worked very hard and are showcasing the gorgeous images available from The Paper Shelter Website and each blog on the hop is offering one lucky commenter a digi of their choice as well as the main prize, details of which are on The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot.

My card today features 'Fantasy on Ice'. Couldn't resist using this one when I saw her.. and twice is really a bonus as the challenge is 'Two of Something'

The image is straight cut and mounted on silver mirror board. I have added Nitwit's papers from LOTV and Core'dinations cardstock. The backing is computer generated using Craft Artist 2. I did the design then using cut out studio cut the skaters and added them to the card as white images.
The corner and poinsettia are SB die cuts. Icicle border from MB. Sentiment, doily and pearls from my stash.

They are coloured with Promarkers, Flexmarkers, Prisma Pencils and Sakura Pens (on laces of boots and snowflakes in their hair, but it doesn't show in the pics)

I added liberal amounts of Glamour Dust to the icicles, snowflakes and the fur on their dresses, and Flowersoft to the trees.  Distress ink around the papers and to the flower.

The inside does match the front.

From here you will need to hop on over to Bente's blog. Don't forget to leave your comment for a chance of winning your choice of one of the fab digis available in store.

Fifi Goes Shopping - Sugar Nellie - Passion for Promarkers Mega Christmas Challenge

This week at Passion for Promarkers we are launching our very special Mega Christmas challenge which runs for a whole month and ends on January 1st 2013.   Both design teams  are having a little break to catch up on their last minute gifts and cards.  However to make up for the lack of challenges we have some fantastic prizes up for grabs.
Our theme for the Mega Christmas challenge is a nice easy one “include the word HAPPY in your sentiment”, so basically we want to see your creations for any type of occasion that include the word “happy”, i.e. happy Christmas, happy birthday, happy anniversary etc.  As time is precious for our DT at this time of year we are limiting the number of entries you can make to just 3 for this month long challenge.  Please remember to be eligible for our prizes you must use your promarkers, flex markers, tria markers, metallic or aqua markers.

So for this challenge I have used a new stamp from a new source to me Sugar Nellie. I have often admired cards made with their images and finally got around to buying a few:)  This is 'Fifi goes shopping' and I think she is just too cute for words.

She is cut with a SB labels 28 die with a faux nestie behind her. I added Joy Craft corners and a Cottage Cutz Christmas doily. The sentiment is from LOTV with a SB lacy circle behind it. Backing paper is from Kanban and all the gold card used is matt gold mirror board. Flowers from WOC and leaves, berry sprays and ribbon are from my stash.

She is coloured of course with Promarkers, Flexmarkers and Prisma pencils. I added distress ink and loads of white glitter.

I stole an idea from Nic and added some Snowtex to the roses :) I also added gold Glamour Dust to the leaves.
The inside does match the front of the card

So now for the exciting bit – the prizes!
Letraset are generously offering 3 x Season’s Gift Sets – so that means 3 winners!

Forever Rose - Hannah Lynn

Good afternoon everyone. Hope your weekend is going well. I thought I would try something a little different today with a dark card. Not sure if I got it right.
I have used one of Hannah Lynn's beautiful images from Crafts and Me, 'Forever Rose'.

Isn't she gorgeous. She looks so deep in thought.  She is straight cut and then I have added a SB romantic rectangle of one of the new Dlites. I actually remembered to get out my sewing machine for a change (usually I have the card made then remember I was going to stitch it ).
Backing paper is from the 'Once upon a time' stack. Flowers from WOC and Hobby House. Butterfly is a Cheery Lynn and ribbon and pearls from my stash.

She is totally coloured with promarkers and just for a change I will list the colours :)
skin = Oatmeal, Saffron, Vanilla, Pastel Pink and Antique pink
hair = Petrol Blue, Twilight, Polar Blue and Icicle
rose = Antique Pink, Cocktail Pink and Pink Mittens

I added glossy accents to the flower dome, her lips and eye and distressed her mount with a mixture of walnut stain and tattered rose.

The inside reflects the front.
