Lots of Layers - Crafty Sentiments DT

Good morning and welcome to a new challenge at Crafty Sentiments where I am the host this week.  I have chosen a really easy theme this week, well it is for people like me, (I don't do CAS).  I have used the fabulous image 'Stanley - Happy Days', an image that can be used for so many different occasions that he really deserves a place in your 'go to' images.

I have used him as a birthday card here, but it could be valentines, will you marry me, or congratulations for exam results etc.
I fussy cut him and straight cut the layers. There are actually 3 different coloured mirror board as well as papers printed from 'The wine buffs' cd (an ancient one).  I added a butterfly spray from JS, A freebie heart from TL and leaves from Sue Wilson. the sentiment  from Dynamics.  The flowers are from WOC and the ribbon and dazzler are from my stash.

A close up of the image where I hope you can see the Nuvo glitter added to the bottle and the fizz. He is coloured with Letraset markers.

A view of the inside where I have added a Memory box ,hearts, and Joanna sheen small heart sprays.

A side view to try to show the shine and sparkle more.

As always our prize this week is

I hope you will take the time to see the amazing cards the team has made for your inspiration this week over on the CS blog.

Joy of Christmas - Crafty Sentiments - White and 1 other colour/A little bird told me - Winter Wonderland DT

Good afternoon. I'm back with my second card. this one for the Winter Wonderland challenge,
Where our theme of 'White with one other colour/or Alittle bird told me has been chosen by Louise

I have used an image from Crafty Sentiments, Joy of Christmas with the 'A Little bird told me' part of the challenge.

And here is my snowman, with 'a few Christmas dies' to create a scene. The dies I have used are,
Holly branches from Sue Wilson,
Penguins from Joanna Sheen
The large trees are from Noor and the smaller ones are Diesire
The sentiment and stitched layers are Memory Box,
and lastly the snowflakes are the waste from a Martha Stewart punch.

A close up of the main image. If you include the penguins he has 5 birds 'telling' him things. I wonder if penguins eat little birds, that penguin looks as if he has that Robin on his lunchtime menu :) You can also see on this one that he is standing on some 'snowtex'.

A view of the inside where I have used some magazine freebies.

and finally a side view which shows up the layers.

We have 2 fabulous sponsors this week, Crafty Sentiments who are offering 3 digi's of your choice at the online store.

And The Craft Barn who have a£10 gift for you to spend on line

Blue Sea - Ching-Chou Kuik - Fussy and FancyDT.

Good morning and welcome to my first post of the day.  I am hosting the challenge at Fussy and fancy this week and have chosen the theme of 'Let's Fly Away'.  This is a really easy theme as it can be flying off to holiday destinations, or things with wings (Fairies, Butterfly's etc).

So today I have used Blue Sea Illusion by Ching-Chou Kuik. I loved colouring this one up, and I'm really pleased with how her blue hair turned out.

She is cut using Tonic rectangles, and my layeringnuses coordination card and Hunkydory satin card.  I embossed using a CC butterfly folder.  The spray of butterflies is from Joanna Sheen and the ribbon and gems are from my stash.

A close up shows I added glitter to the butterflies, and glossy accents to her eyes and the 'jewel', and finally some nuvo drops to the flowers in her hair.

She is coloured with Letraset markers and a little Prismacolour pencils to add more definition.

The inside does reflect the front

We are being sponsored this week by Noor Design who are offering the lucky winner a £10 voucher to spend in their store.

The other ladies on the DT as usual have made some unbelievable projects for your inspiration this week, I hope you will check them out here.

Make it Digital - Bella Dragon Rider - Faery Ink

Good morning, it's time for another challenge at Passion for Promarkers where Marie has chosen the theme of 'Make it Digital'.
I have a fun card for you today that could almost be called CAS. I have used the fabulous image 'Bella Dragon Rider' from Faery Ink, and I'm not sure if I bought it or if it was the weekly freebie, in any case I think she was a delight to colour up.

She is fussy cut and I made the background using the swirl feature on the My Craft Studio digital programme, layered onto coordination card and Lilac mirror board. The sentiment is from Presscut.

A closer view with the background removed. She is coloured with Triamarkers, Flexmarkers and Promarkers. I  used copious amounts of Nuvo glitter.

More of a side view to try to show the glitter.

The inside where I used a Penny Black sentiment and I think the butterfly was a magazine freebie.

We have a wonderful sponsor this week, Di's Digital Stamps who are offering the winner a $12 voucher to spend in store.

So now it's up to you. Please remember you must use Letraset products (Promarkers, flexmarkers, triamarkers, Aqua markers or metalic markers  to enter, and follow the theme and state what markers you have used.

Little Polly - Dear Friend

Good afternoon, I'm here today with a second make of the cutest digi, 'Little Polly - Dear Friend' for the new challenge at Crafty Sentiments, chosen by Anet who's theme this week is 'Back to School'. With summer holidays ending and children the world over returning it's the perfect time for this type of card.

She is cut using TL square dies and mounted onto a background from the Paper Shelter. The sentiments are computer generated, and the round one cut using punches. Her background was made using masks, the clouds are masks cutusing MB clouds. The spring flower border is also from MB.
She is coloured using Letraset pens, and the paperclip is also from my stash.

Again the sentiment is computer generated.

As usual the winner will receive 3 digi's from the on line shop.

We also have a special sale going on now, featuring new release stamps, but you have to be quick to get the bargains

So that's it for me, thanks for taking the time to look, and don't forget to check out the fabulous creations from the DT.

Martini Girl Pin up - Sassy Cheryl - Passion for Promarkers DT

Good morning, and yes it is Wednesday, but PFP challenge starts on Tuesdays, but not in the case of someone as wooly headed as me.  I won't take you through the trials and tribulations of trying mto remove glue that had oozed out onto the gold mirror card. I have managed to removen this in then past with rubbing alcohol, but have now discovered that it doesn't work on all mirror card so I have to be more frugal with the glue, and more precise with my gluing
So to get back to this week's challenge at Passion for Promarkers where Lisa has chosen the theme of 'Hip to be Square', a really easy one. I have used an image from Sassy Studio Designs, Martini Pin Up Girl.

I made up the layers using SB Grand squares and rectangles. The sentiment is from Tonic, and I have  realised in the photo it looks as if the layer between the gold and green is brown, it's actually olive green.  The glasses have been coated in glossy accents and the olives in varnish glue.

A view of the inside where it does show the olive green.  I have added a couple of layers from Grand labels 1 and Grand Decorative labels one.  I coloured the image with Tria Markers, Flexmarkers and Promarkers. I don't know if Windsor and Newton have any plans to bring out refils as quite a few of mine are really getting very dry, (but it is 3 years at least since I bought them)

Our Sponsor this week is Letraset who are offering the winner a set of 6 brush markers

                [884955042915%2520W%2526N%2520Promarker%2520lifestyle_0255R%255B5%255D.jpg]12743572_10206957178662119_4160937320111101760_n

Don't forget you have to use Letraset products to coulour your image, ann follow the theme.

Josh - Let's go flying - Crafty Sentiments Designs - CSD DT

Good morning, and welcome to a new challenge at Crafty Sentiments.  Suzette has worked her magic again to produce this fabulous image, and wowwwwwwwww it's a boy's card, and that's something we are always looking for. So today I have used 'Josh - Let's go flying', and what a cutie he is.

It's amazing that this card is here today.  One tip I would give to all crafters is make backup disks. I used Paint Shop Pro as my graphics programme and yesterday I had major problems.  I found I was unable to crop images, and as I have a disc I deleted and reinstalled the programme, or at least tried to. It kept telling me that my library was unavailable.  So I dug around and found an old disc and this still wouldn't work.  I thought I was going to have to buy a new one. I had another look through my old programme discs and found another one. yeaaaaaaaaaa this one worked. So 4 hours after sitting down to write this I could actually sort out the photo's I had taken. I didn't get this post written until this morning as I went to bed with a thumping headache.  One thing I am going to do is copy this disc before using it again :)

So here is Josh, let's go flying.

Thank goodness for Nitwit's images as I used the 'up and away' files, for the cloud background and the sentiments. My favourite layering card, holographic mirror board  and a little piece of coordination's card.

A close up to show the image coloured with Letrasett markers.

A view of thenside where I have used a cloud to write  a personal message.  The sentiment is computer generated.

And finally a side view.

Our theme this week is Anything goes so a chance to win this fabulous prize
