Canary Dutch Girl - Saturated Canary/Digi Doodles

Good Morning everyone and welcome to my new followers. Well it finally arrived.... the big 60.  I did manage to squash the idea of a big party, so today I am going out for a family lunch and on Friday we are having a girls night out.
Today's card is for the Passion for Promarkers DT where I chose the theme of 'From Around the World'. This gives you lots of scope as it can be people, scenes, objects, anything just tell us where in the world it's from.
For my card I have used Canary Dutch Girl (with the canary removed) and I used Digi Doodles windmill behind her.

I cut her out and added her to the straight cut windmill. The backing paper was made from a Delft tile I found on the internet which I 'tiled'. I had to chuckle when I looked at the finished card as I realised I had put it on upside down :)  The corners are Marianne Anja  and also the ribbon border. Leaves from Crealies. Flowers WOC and pearls and ribbon from my stash.

She is of course coloured with Promarkers, Flexmarkers and Prisma Pencils.

The inside does match the front, even down to the upside down tiles.

We are being sponsored this week by Clearly Besotted Stamps  and the lovely Stephanie is offering one lucky winner a 4x6 stamp set called “Going Places” which is very apt for our theme this week!

Don’t forget to be eligible for our prize draw you must use your Letraset products (promarkers, aqua markers, flex markers, tria markers, metallic markers or neon markers) and of course follow the theme.
I hope you will pop over and see the fabulous cards the other DT members have created for your inspiration. I can't wait to see what you produce.

Thanks for taking the time to look
I will be back later with the name of the winner of my candy

Walking Iris - Digi Doodles

Again finally I appear.  It's my sister's 70th birthday today and for the past couple of weeks I have been busy making her a 40 page memory/scrapbook. Looking at her face last night it was well worth the effort, but apologies to anyone I might have missed this week, I did manage to comment on a few posts, but by Tuesday I was getting to be frantic to get it finished. Of course that was the day my printer decided to put lines all over the printouts. It took 5 sheets before I realised it was happening. I had to go shooting off to buy more inks.

Can I say welcome to my 4 new followers, sorry you haven't had much to look at recently, but I should be back in the swing of it again. I have a few new Spellbinders I am dying to play with.

Today's card is the one I made for my sister. She doesn't like 'cutsie' images so it took a while to decide on this one. It's the gorgeous Walking Iris from Digi Doodles. Such a shame that they have decided to give up their shop, but huge bargains are on offer atm with all images reduced to $1 each.

She is cut with SB grand ovals and framed with grand decorative ovals. My border and corners are lattice accents and the backing sheet is one of the new A4 M-bossabilities garden lattice. All pink card stock is Bazzill basics. My sentiment is computer generated and cut with a SB ribbon banner.

She is coloured as always with Promarkers, Flexmarkers and Prisma pencils, and the sky was created with distress ink. I added some Sakura pens to the irises and the buckle on her belt but it doesn't show in the pictures.

The flowers are from WOC and the leaves are a Cheery Lynn die. Pearl ribbon and pearls from my stash.

I hadn't added the insert when I took the photo's.

Strawberry Fairy - Digi Doodles

Good morning everyone and welcome to my new follower. Thank you all so much for the lovely comments you have left recently I really do appreciate them.
I think I got a little stuck on the vintage theme and decided to do another one. I used Strawberry Fairy from Digi Doodles, they really do have a great variety of images.

She is cut using Spellbinders labels 22 and I made a faux nestie to highlight the colour. Flowers and corner are from WOC. Doily from Ebay. Leaves, ribbon, strawberry charm and pearl are from my stash. It is mounted on Bazzil basic cardstock.

She is coloured as always with Promarkers, Flexmarkers and Prisma pencils and I liberally added stickles to her wings. The edges of everything are coloured with distress ink.

I finally got around to doing something new, which is adding stitching to a card. I actually treat myself to a new sewing machine a couple of weeks ago specifically for cardmaking as my old one is really heavy to move around. Think I need to practice a little more as it is so long since I did any sewing that my lines are a little wonky.

Thank you so much for looking. Hope you have a good week. Don't know what I am going to do with my time now that the Olympics have ended, and what a great closing ceremony last night.

Daisygirl - Digi Doodles

Well this is my last week as GD at  I ♥ ProMarkers and this week we are being sponsored by http://digidoodleshop.com/store/ with challenge # 123 'Anything Goes'.   Where did that month go?
I really had fun looking through the Digi Doodle shop to find an image for today's card and have to admit I did buy a few more :)
I eventually chose this lovely little lady. She is called Daisygirl.

I cut the card and then all the layers with Spellbinders Grand Scalloped Circles large. I finally managed to get the daisies from WOC, already had the  roses and Cherry Blossom. The ribbon is from Meiflower.

She is coloured with Promarkers, Flexmarkers and Prisma pencils with chalk ink added to sky and grass.

I added Nitwit paper and embellishments to the inside.

I am entering Joanna Sheen Challenge 'Summer Daze'Allsorts Challenge 'Any die will do';  Deep Ocean Challenge #28 'Welcome Summer'; Sassy Cheryls challenge#121 'Summer';  The Paper Shelter challenge #70 'Punches/and or Dies' Whimsy Stamps challenge #45 'Anything but square' and Corrosive Challenge #152 'Summertime Girls'

Can I say a huge thank you to the design team over at I ♥ ProMarkers for inviting me to be a guest on their site, I really had fun.

Thank you to everyone for taking the time to look at my card, hope you like her as much as I do. Please take the time to go check out the Design Team's creations, they are all so talented.
