New Baby - Concertina Card - Winter Wonderland DT, Crafters Companion, Sugar Nellie, Wee Stamps, Mo's Digital Perncil

Good morning and welcome. I'm here today with a new card for the Winter Wonderland challenge, with the theme chosen by Lena, of 'Pastel Colours.
A friend asked me to make a card for a baby who has finally been discharged from the premature baby ward.  So this is what I created.

This card features the gorgeous Bambino stamp from Sugar Nellie.  I made a concertina card with the dies from Crafter's Companion. I really love this image.  The fancy scroll work around the edges are an extra to compliment the main die. The dangly bits are from my stash and are a dummy, angel, teddy bear and a pram.

As you can see he is called Joey, and the letters I added are from TLace stepper card dies.
The centre features images from Mo's Digital Pencil, Wee stamps and Lily of the Valley toppers.

It has 6 pages and as I didn't have thick enough card I ended up cutting 12 and gluing them together.
I coloured the images with Triamarkers, Flexmarkers and Promarkers.

We are being sponsored this week by Di's Digital Stamps and they are giving the winner a $12 gift voucher to spend in store.

The other Snowflakes ladies have created some amazing cards for your inspiration this week and I hope you will check them out here.

Thanks for taking the time to look , don't forget to check back on Monday for the winners of the last challenge

Concertina Christmas Card Crafters Companion - LOTV - Wee Stamps - Bild Malarna - Fussy and Fancy DT.

Today I am here with a card which should have been posted last Friday for the Fussy and Fancy Mega Christmas post.  Unfortunately life got in the way and I didn't finish it until today. Huge apologies to all the ladies on the DT especially to Cheryl.
I decided to go completely over the top as it is a Mega Challenge and made a concertina card.  I bought the dies a few weeks ago from Crafters Companion.

This shows the whole card.  On the front is a Crafts Too die and flowers from WOC.  The second and fourth pages feature 2 of the Santa's helpers trio from LOTV. The third page is Mimosa-Christmas Flower from Bild Malarna. The final page features Heidi from Wee Stamps.

The snowflakes are Cheery Lynn, leaves my favourite MS punch. Gems and bell from my stash.

A close up of the second and 3rd pages.

Heidi has a lot to answer for. When I first started card making I found her on Bev Rochester's blog and fell in love with her. Many thousands of pounds later she is still one my fav images, and I still blame Bev for being too inspiring :)

We are being sponsored by Sherri Baldy who is giving 3 images from her store

And Sweet Lilac Flowers who have a very special prize for the winner

The other ladies on the Fussy and Fancy DT have made some unbelievable
projects for your inspiration this week and they are definitely worth checking out.
You have until 14th January to enter this challenge and I hope you will join in.

Christmas Village - Desire Dies

Good morning and welcome to the first of my cards for today, neither of which has any colouring :)
This first card is for the Winter Wonderland team and features a Desire Dies create a card die 'Christmas Village', for this weeks challenge chosen by Julie where the theme is 'The Holly and the Ivy'.

I really had fun making this one, throwing as much bling as I could on it,  The outer layers are that sticky backed plastic in silver glitter and then some dark blue shimmer card.  I added gold nuvo glitter to all the windows and white to the roofs and lakes. It doesn't show in the picture but I also added glossy accents to the lakes.  A few rhinestones to the sky as well as white glitter and finally a little chalk to the trees.  The holly die is from Sue Wilson and the Ivy is a Marianne die, both cut from green glitter card.  I added red pearls for the berries.

The inside which has a Joy crafts die used to make a space for the sentiment. We haven't had any sunshine here for days so I had to use a daylight lamp to lighten up the images.

We are being sponsored this week by  Di's Digital stamps who are offering a $12 voucher to the lucky winner
