Wendy - Saturated Canary

Good afternoon from a cold miserable North East. Typical bank holiday weather, but it did mean I  could craft today.
Can I say welcome to my new follower and thank you, the cards you make are amazing.

Today I am back with Wendy, another SC image, I do have about half of them :)

I decided to cut her out to show my new Marianne dies behind her. The backing paper is from Nitwits. Flowers and corner are from WOC , leaves are a SB die, butterflies Marianne and Cheery Lynn.  Flower button, ribbon, pearls (they are all plain pearl but somehow some appear to be pink?) and gems are from my stash.

She is coloured as always with Promarkers, Flexmarkers and Prisma pencils.

Christmas Star - LOTV

Good morning everyone and welcome to my new follower, your comments really are greatly appreciated.
I get worse. Not only do I miss deadlines for entering challenges, but discovered this week that I say I have entered challenges and then find that I forgot to go back and enter after publishing my post............. duhhhhhhh... this old age thing must be really getting to me ;-)

I think I must have caught the Christmas bug as I couldn't resist inking up this cutie.

I wish I could get the camera to capture the sparkle of the glitter as I used lots of Glamour dust and  Ice crystals. She is one of the new releases from LOTV as is the backing paper and the sentiment. I cut her with a SB deckled rectangle and matted up with Bazzill basics. The corners are SB Holly Accents. Ribbon , peals and charm from my stash.

She is coloured as always with Promarkers, Flexmarkers and Prisma pencils.

The inside reflects the front. If anyone is looking for Christmasy ribbon I bought this (and red and green) from Dunelm Mills, 12 m  rolls for under £2.

Time of My Life - The Paper Shelter

Morning everyone I am back with my second DT post for The Paper Shelter.  I have used their latest image 'The Time of My Life'.  Ahhhhhhhhh memories of years gone by. I wonder how many times I have watched 'Dirty Dancing'? Bet you've seen it a few times too.

I have used the backing that comes with the image. Rather than cut it out to mount it I decided to remove the white from around the image on the jpeg file. I was then able to resize it and place it just where I wanted it and then printed onto Neenah card so that it was perfect for colouring. It's then mounted onto some blue satin card.

They are coloured as always with Promarkers, Flexmarkers and Prisma pencils. I cut the stars with an X-cut die from glittered card and finally added some bling. The sentiment is computer generated with a little distress ink added for effect.

I hope you will join in with our challenge this week which is 'Anything Goes'. You don't have to use a Paper shelter image as you can win 3 digi's of your choice, but if you do use one (and there are so many to choose from) you could win $20 to spend in the store.
Don't forget to check out the other DT cards for a little inspiration.

My Little Tree - LOTV

Really chuckling here. I just missed another challenge, this time by 1 minute....... I will learn one day.... hehehe.
Anyway another card from me. My second Christmas card and this time a little more traditional. It's one of the new releases from LOTV and uses their Kraft backing paper too.

I layered up the Kraft papers and added one of the new LOTV sentiments, some MS snowflakes, raffia, gems and charm from my stash.

He is coloured as always with Promarkers, Flexmarkers and Prisma Pencils. I added distress ink and lots of Glamour Dust sparkle.

A side view.

Peggy - Wee Stamps

Good evening everyone and welcome to my new followers. I am always amazed by the talented ladies who decide to follow me, and thank you so much for your lovely comments.

I've had a wonderful day today :). The Ross Papercraft show was on at the Nissan Sports Centre.  Shopping has to be my favourite hobby (it even beats crafting). I was amazed to see Lily of the Valley there as they don't usually attend, could have saved some postage if I had known, but did still manage to buy more stamps and a couple of the christmas paper pads.
Also bought 'a few' new dies which will appear over the next few weeks.

So onto today's card. Not really sure about it but, it's made. I used a digi image from Wee Stamps that I bought a few weeks ago called Peggy. She is a real cutie.

I used a Marianne die to cut the frame and butterflies.  The backing paper is from Nitwits. Flowers from WOC, leaves are the new Spellbinders die and ribbon, charm and gems from my stash.

She is coloured as always with Promarkers, Flexmarkers and Prisma pencils. I used distress ink for the background but applied it with Inkylicious Ink Dusters(from Joanna Sheen). These are great for getting into the nooks and crannies as you can squish them. Stickles are added to some of the flowers and the butterflies. Sentiment was a freebie from a magazine.

The inside reflects the front.

Duck Duck Goose - Saturated Canary

Good evening everyone. Thank you all for the lovely comments you left on my last card. I actually won with it at the Papercraft Star challenge, but have to admit there were only 4 entries. This site offers downloads as prizes from The House Across the Bay. I don't know if you have been to this site but it offers some really different backing papers and elements, it's really worth a look and they have a summer sale on atm.

Onto today's card which is another from Saturated Canary that I bought a while ago.

She is cut with Spellbinders Grand Ovals and Scalloped Ovals. The backing paper is from Joanna Sheens 'Daisy and Friends' cd. I added a Magnolia fence, memory box spring border and Whimsy corners. Gems are from my stash.

She is coloured as always with Promarkers, Flexmarkers and Prisma pencils. I added distress ink to her background, stickles to the flowers and liquid pearls to highlight.

Strawberry Fairy - Digi Doodles

Good morning everyone and welcome to my new follower. Thank you all so much for the lovely comments you have left recently I really do appreciate them.
I think I got a little stuck on the vintage theme and decided to do another one. I used Strawberry Fairy from Digi Doodles, they really do have a great variety of images.

She is cut using Spellbinders labels 22 and I made a faux nestie to highlight the colour. Flowers and corner are from WOC. Doily from Ebay. Leaves, ribbon, strawberry charm and pearl are from my stash. It is mounted on Bazzil basic cardstock.

She is coloured as always with Promarkers, Flexmarkers and Prisma pencils and I liberally added stickles to her wings. The edges of everything are coloured with distress ink.

I finally got around to doing something new, which is adding stitching to a card. I actually treat myself to a new sewing machine a couple of weeks ago specifically for cardmaking as my old one is really heavy to move around. Think I need to practice a little more as it is so long since I did any sewing that my lines are a little wonky.

Thank you so much for looking. Hope you have a good week. Don't know what I am going to do with my time now that the Olympics have ended, and what a great closing ceremony last night.

Window Shopping - SBDS

Good evening everyone from a lovely sunny Sunderland (for a change).
Today's card features an image from Stitchy Bears called Window Shopping.

She is cut with a Spellbinders Lacy circle. I didn't use backing paper but did stamp the Bazzil basic with a Joanna Sheen lace stamp.

She is coloured as always with Promarkers, Flexmarkers and Prisma Pencils and I used Tim Holtz to distress the edges.

I added a lattice heart, ribon, lace, butterfly and pearls from my stash. Flowers and corner from WOC. Leaves cut with a MS punch.

Singing to the Moon - The Paper Shelter - GD Do You Stack Up

Good morning and welcome to my new follower and thanks everyone for you lovely comments on my first DT post for The Paper Shelter.

I was delighted to be chosen a second time to be a guest designer at  Do You Stack Up.  It was really strange I was chosen and given this TPS image a couple of days before I found out I was joining TPC's DT. This weeks challenge is #84 'Anything with 4 legs'.
This is a cat who really looks as if she is enjoying her own voice :)

I kept it fairly simple with a Spellbinders circle and scalloped circle. The backing paper was created in Craft artist using a night sky and ovelaying the London skyline. Not sure if there are stars in the sky or fireworks going off for all the medals we have won in the Olympics.

She is coloured as always with Promarkers and Flexmarkers and I added chalk to the sky behind her. Flowers from WOC and ribbon and pearls from my stash.
I added stickles to the stars and moon for more sparkle.

Thank you so much for looking and I hope you will join in with the challenge where The Paper Shelter , Birdie Brown and Bugaboo Stamps are this weeks sponsors.

Enchanted Dancing - The Paper Shelter

Hi everyone.... oooh this is my first post as one of the DT at The Paper Shelter.  The challenge this week is 'Round and Round' and you will find it here.
I have to admit I was spoiled for choice when it came to choosing an image as there are so many gorgeous ones to choose from. I selected Enchanted Dancing as the mushrooms are round and also feature spots.

I cut the image with Spellbinders scalloped circles backed by lacey circles, then grand circles and finally one of the new Grand Decorative circles. I mounted them all on a fancy stepper card. The punched border is a MS, the ribbon and pearls are from my stash. Flowers are Prima and from WOC. Corners are from Magnolia and leaves from Marianne Creatables. Don't think it really shows up well in the photos but I also embossed the front panel with a Special Touch of Magic mask.

She is coloured as always with Promarkers, Flexmarkers and Prisma pencils. I also used chalks for the background and added stickles to the flowers.

I think this one shows the use of the mask a little better.

Goldie - Wee Stamps

Good morning everyone and welcome to my new follower, thank you for your lovely comments, and to everyone else, you brighten my day.

I'm not too sure about this card. It was really hard to photograph as it's a dark one.. the bottom of the sea, and not a coral island and it's my version of grungy.

I used a Wee stamp called Goldie but only used the main focal point. The backing paper is from a DCWV stack called once upon a time. I used various leaf dies from Spellbinders and Cheey Lynn. Ribbon and pearls are from my stash.

She is coloured as always with Promarkers Flexmarkers and Prisma pencils and I added liberal amouts of stickles, glitter, glaze and liquid pearls.

It really is more sparkly irl and the air bubble matches the card but my camera is showing it as more blue than it is.

Still not sure about her.
