Nurse - Sassy Studio Designs

Good evening everyone. Can I start by saying welcome to my new followers and thank you for taking the time to view my blog.
One of my friends at work is changing roles and moving from working with infection control in the community to being hospital based. I thought it was going to be another week before she moved but found out that it's next week. So this is the card I made for her last night.

Have to admit I really chuckled today when she said if she dressed like that she would clear the hospital, and thrill her husband :)
I used a Sassy Studio Designs freebie, 'Nurse'. She really does look soooooooooo sassy. She is cut with SB labels 25 and I made a faux nestie to highlight her. I also added a Moroccan accent down the side. The backing paper is actually a picture of germs, but by the time I added everything they are hardly visible... hmmmm a lot like real germs.
Flowers and corners are from WOC and ribbon from Mei flower. Leaves are MS and Xcut punches. Sentiment is computer generated and cut with SB ribbon banner.

She is coloured with Promarkers, Flexmarkers and distress ink around the edges.

I had to leave the inside fairly simple to allow space for everyone to write their messages.

I don't think there are any suitable challenges to enter her into, but that's not why I made it.

Thanks for taking the time to look. Hope you all have a great weekend

Orchard Love - Saturated Canary

Good morning everyone hope this is the start of a lovely day for you all.
Today's card is my first for the Passion for Promarkers DT, where our challenge this week is 'Autumn Leaves'
There have to be leaves on your card not just in the papers. Well I decided to go really OTT with the leaves :)  I have used the wonderful Krista's Orchard Love digital stamp.

For a change I made a stepper card. She is just straight cut and I rounded the corners and mounted her on SB decorative labels 8 and backed that with gold mirror board. The leaves are the new SP fall foliage collection, and have been embossed with WOW embossing powders. The mini fir cones were collected outside my office at the beginning of the year and dried and stored lol... I knew they would come in useful.  Butterfly is a Joy crafts die. Ribbon, lace and gems from my stash.

She is of course coloured with Promarkers, Flexmarkers an a touch of Prisma pencils and distress ink for the clouds in the background.

I did add a little glitter to the fir cones too.

Handyman - Kenny K

Good afternoon everyone from a windy, cold, wet and miserable North East England. Definitely a day for staying indoors.
Today's card is a request from a friend and I have chosen Kenny K's handyman as he is always pottering around their house 'trying' to do things :)

I cut around the image to make his stand out from the backing papers, which are from Nitwits. All mats are just straight cut. Sentiment is computer generated. Tool charms I think were from Mei Flower, and I added coloured card candi to the corners. The brads are from my stash.

He is coloured with Promarkers, Flexmarkers and Prisma Pencils.

The inside reflects the front.

Aliah - Hannah Lynn for Crafts and Me

Good morning everyone and welcome to my new followers, I really appreciate your support, and thank you all for the lovely comments you have been leaving.

Today's card is something new for me a fairly monochrome card. I bought this Hannah Lynn image at Crafts and Me a few weeks ago as I think she is gorgeous.

The backing papers are from Lucy Cromwell and I also embossed some Bazzill basic (not that a lot of it eventually shows). I added a Cottage Cutz doily, Whimsy corner, Cheery Lynn butterfly and leaves. Ribbon and buckle from Mei Flower. Flowers from WOC and pears and gems from my stash.

She is coloured as always with Promarkers and Flexmarkers and I added purple glitter, Glamour Dust and Stickles. I also used a little distress ink around the edges.

The inside reflects the front.

Little bit Grumpy - The Paper Shelter

Back to my normal style for my DT post for The Paper Shelter. This weeks challenge is challenge #82 'Colours of Fall' (either fall colours or a fall image). I have chosen 'Little bit grumpy' for my image. I love her expression.

She is cut using SB labels one with another of my new dies decorative labels one as a mount, cut from matt gold mirrorboard.  The leaves are also from one of the new SBs.  If anyone is buying Spellbinder dies I have found a great place to get them at the lowest prices 'Icon Uk', they even give free postage and are sent registered post.
The backing paper is from my stash, as are the lace, ribbon and dragonflies (which are coloured with Promarkers). Flowers are from WOC.

She is coloured as always with Promarkers, Flexmarkers and Prisma pencils with distress ink added to the background.

The inside reflects the front.

Don't forget to pop over to The Paper Shelter to check out the other DT cards.  Our prize is again $30 of Paper Shelter product if you use one of our images and 3 digi's of your choice with any other image

Thank you for taking the time to look at my card.

Franky Pastry - The Paper Shelter

Good afternoon everyone. Can I start by saying welcome to my 2 new followers who are both part of my new design team.  Yes... I have joined another one. I was surprised and delighted last week to be contacted by Denise from 'Passion for Promarkers' and asked to join their team.Woooooooooohooooooooooooooo !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As you can see I said yes,(who wouldn't want to join such talented ladies. I start with them next week.

On to today's card which is a Paper Shelter image, 'Franky Pastry'. A great image for Halloween or men/boy's cards in general.

I stamped and cut out the image and mounted it on a background I created in Serif Craft Artist.  I just got my new Professional 2 today and love it, I can see me creating lots of backing papers with it.

I coloured Franky with Promarkers and Flexmarkers, creating his mottled skin by using the blender pen. Couldn't resist adding a few black gems to the top corners.

The inside reflects the front.

Window Shopping 2 - SBDS

Good evening everyone hope you are all looking forward to a good weekend. Have to admit I have had a bug for the past couple of days, weird one with flu like symptoms, still a bit achy but  I'm sure I will be over it soon.
Thought I would share a card my friend requested for her sister's birthday. She loved the original one I did but there wasn't room to put a sentiment on it.  So even though I hate making the same card twice I agreed to do it.
It may be similar to the first but I did something new with this one and made a 'magic card'. I found the link on Pat's blog for how to make it and the link to Marianne Skjelstad's Magic card  instructions by Tracey are here

Oooo just realised the camera has changed the colour of the mount card.... it really is sage green irl.  Good job I'm not entering it for any challenges.

This one does look a little more like the real colour, well the inside does.   I just thought I would show it and say what an interesting one it is to try.  I also managed to use my new SP dies decorative labels 8. Thanks Pat for the inspiration.

Thanks for looking

Walking Iris - Digi Doodles

Again finally I appear.  It's my sister's 70th birthday today and for the past couple of weeks I have been busy making her a 40 page memory/scrapbook. Looking at her face last night it was well worth the effort, but apologies to anyone I might have missed this week, I did manage to comment on a few posts, but by Tuesday I was getting to be frantic to get it finished. Of course that was the day my printer decided to put lines all over the printouts. It took 5 sheets before I realised it was happening. I had to go shooting off to buy more inks.

Can I say welcome to my 4 new followers, sorry you haven't had much to look at recently, but I should be back in the swing of it again. I have a few new Spellbinders I am dying to play with.

Today's card is the one I made for my sister. She doesn't like 'cutsie' images so it took a while to decide on this one. It's the gorgeous Walking Iris from Digi Doodles. Such a shame that they have decided to give up their shop, but huge bargains are on offer atm with all images reduced to $1 each.

She is cut with SB grand ovals and framed with grand decorative ovals. My border and corners are lattice accents and the backing sheet is one of the new A4 M-bossabilities garden lattice. All pink card stock is Bazzill basics. My sentiment is computer generated and cut with a SB ribbon banner.

She is coloured as always with Promarkers, Flexmarkers and Prisma pencils, and the sky was created with distress ink. I added some Sakura pens to the irises and the buckle on her belt but it doesn't show in the pictures.

The flowers are from WOC and the leaves are a Cheery Lynn die. Pearl ribbon and pearls from my stash.

I hadn't added the insert when I took the photo's.

Cirque - The Paper Shelter

Finally I appear again. Sorry for being MIA for the past week I just needed to take some time away. My apologies for not commenting on the wonderful cards you have created in the past week I will try to catch up later today, but don't think I will make up for a week of non-comments.
The great thing about being on a DT is that you have to meet the commitments you make and this card has done that.

This is for our latest challenge #80 'Tag you're it' (Use a tag somewhere on your card). The prize has been increased for anyone using a TPS image to $30 to spend on the site. But dont forget even if you dont used one of their products (now why wouldnt you?) you will still stand a chance of winning 3 of their images of your own choice. Please dont forget if you enter more than one card, you must use one of The Paper Shelter images on at least one of the three cards you are allowed to enter.

This is another gorgeous image from Veronica and Pedro, and oooooo I am dying to use their latest release 'Adorable Little Devil' which is perfect for Halloween cards.

So to today's card which is Cirque.

Now this really is something new for me...... alternate hair colour :-)......  I also used my new Marianne die that I bought a couple of weeks ago. No flowers this time but I did add quite a few gems to give it a little more sparkle. The papers I used are from a Lucy Cromwell Papermania stack and Bazzill basics. The tag is computer generated and the ribbon in from my stash.

She is coloured with Promarkers, Flexmarkers and Prisma Pencils.

The inside reflects the front.
