Victoria - Sugar Nellie - PFP DT

Good morning everyone. Sorry not to have been around for a while, total loss of mojo and life getting in the way.

Today sees the start of a new challenge at Passion for Promarkers where Lisa has chosen the theme of  “summertime blues”.  Lisa would like you to use blue & 1 other colour only (not including skin/hair colours).  Don’t forget, as always, to be eligible for our prize draw you must use your Letraset products (i.e. promarkers, flex markers, aqua markers, tria markers, metallic markers or neon markers) and of course follow the theme.

I have used a Sugar Nellie image I bought ages ago and finally inked up, she is Victoria.

I adore this little girl's face, and chose blue and pink for my colours, (hope the white is allowed too. She is cut with SB labels 28 and mounted onto a Cheery Lynn Dutch Deco Border square. DP is Nitwits and mounts are coordinations. Flowers from WOC, leaves are a MS punch and ribbon and pearls from my stash.

She is of course coloured with Promarkers, Flexmarkers and Triamarkers, with a little distress ink to the background.

The inside does match the front.

Our generous sponsor this week is Whiff of Joy stamps and the lucky winner will receive 1 stamp.

A Vintage Lady

Good morning everyone... anyone else dying in this heat????  Would be great if it was just cool at night..............
Today is a card I did just for fun... wanted to try out the new dies and papers I got this week.

A very different card for me. The image is an old Hunkydory one. My new things are the Cheery Lynn Polynesian Sails Oval and the Lady Kate edger also the floral paper is from First Edition 'Rose Garden'.  I also used a deco corner and leaves from CL, a SB Parisian accent border and a Marianne tag. Flowers from WOC, Sentiment from Wild Rose Studio and ribbon and pearls from my stash.  Matted onto bronze mirror board and Coordinations..

I also added shabby pink frantage and walnut stain distress ink.

As a finishing touch I added CL exotic butterflies.

The inside does reflect the front.

Pirate Abi - DigiStamp Boutique - PFP DT

Good morning. Hope everyone is enjoying this wonderful sunshine. I'm having major car problems atm... latest quote was £1500... my ABS warning light came on a week ago...not causing any problems apart from the bill :)...   also found out on Friday that I have been displaced in my job in the NHS... huge changes going on but as I only have 2 1/2 years till I retire fully I am not really that concerned, will probably end up going back to being a staff nurse... haven't been one of those since 1978... It won't really affect me as I will be on protected salary till I retire.
Anyhoooooo.... enough moans. Today sees the start of a new challenge at Passion for Promarkers where this week the theme this week chosen by Lou is 'Create a Scene'. Our generous sponsor is Sally-Ann at Digi Stamp Boutique where the prize is 6 images of your choice and with so much to choose from you will not be disappointed.  I have used Pirate Ami.... so cute.................

I added her to a Sassy Studio background which unfortunately is no longer available.  I fussy cut her and added her to the background which is highlighted with rainbow mirrorboard. The ribbon is from my stash and a few card candi for accents. Think I got the anchor from Mei Flower.

She is of course coloured with Promarkers, Flexmarkers and Triamarkers. I also added diamond stickles to the volcano and glamour dust to the waves.  The sword and parrot eyes also have glossy accents added for effect.

The sentiment also comes with the stamp, and the inside reflects the front.

I hope you will join in with our challenge this week, we all need six gorgeous
extra digi stamps. To enter you do have to use Letraset products  (i.e. promarkers, flex markers, aqua markers, tria markers, metallic markers or neon markers)

Please take the time to pop over and see the wonderful cards the PFP girls have made for your inspiration this week.

Spring Swing II - The Paper Shelter - TPS DT

Good morning and welcome to my new follower Inger, so glad you decided to follow my blog.
Today sees the start of a new challenge over at The Paper Shelter where our theme this week is 'Swirly, Girlie', a card with at least one swirl on it.  I decided to use Spring Swing II as it is such a girlie image.

She is cut with SB labels 28 with a faux nestie behind her. The corner stamps are from an art deco set I got ages ago but it has no label on it. I stamped directly onto the Nitwit paper and then added a little colour to the flowers. The swirly leaves are a MB die and the flowers are from WOC.  I added glossy accents to the leaf she is sitting on and lots of viva decor pen.  The edges of the DP are edged with distress ink, and the mounts are cordinations.

She is coloured with Promarkers, Flexmarkers, Triamarkers and a little Prisma Pencil.

The inside does reflect the front.

Our prize this week as always is a $30 voucher if you use a TPS image, or 3 digi's for any other image.  The team B girls have really excelled themselves this week with some beautiful cards for your inspiration.  I hope you take the time to enter our challenge.

Ruby - Sylvia Zet

Good evening everyone. Don't know about anyone else but I have been totally confused this week.  I thought it was only Google Reader that was going but found my dashboard had vanished as well so went into panic mode and joined Bloglovin. I then found yesterday that my dashboard was back and fully functional... phew... I have to admit I prefer this to other alternatives.
Went back to work yesterday to find we were having a change around in the office and had to start emptying cupboards, cabinets and moving all my files etc.  It was a good move though. Went from being in a dark no sunshine part of the building to being beside the windows and lots of sunshine. I used to call the building I work in 'the cave' as it was so dark, but it was a pleasure to go in today. Anyway what I am getting around to is appologies for not getting around the blogs, too shattered to do anything yesterday after watching Murray's fantastic match, well the end of it. Still going to have to have another early night as I have an early start in the morning.

Enough of the waffle you cry..... I may no longer be a GD for Wee Stamps but couldn't resist colouring another one up :)  I have used 'Ruby'... I think she is gorgeous.

I just had to go with a lavender and lace version. She is cut with SB grand scalloped circles with a faux nestie behind her. The corners are from Joy crafts. The doily was square until I extended it (it was a gift from my friend Judy, thanks Judy). The squared pearl ribbon is from Hobby House. Flowers and lace from WOC. Pearls, ribbon and tiny jewel flowers from my stash. Backing paper from Nitwits.

She is coloured with Promarkers, Flexmarkers, Triamarkers and Prisma Pencils. I also added distress ink to the background, stickles to the centre of the flowers and Viva decor pen as highlights.

The inside does reflect the front.

Be Prepared - Sassy Cheryl - PFP DT

Good Morning everyone. Today sees the start of a new challenge at Passion for Promarkers. Julie has chosen our theme this week and it's Time (use watch/clock image or time sentiment).
We are being sponsored by Letraset who are offering a set of 6 Flexmarkers as our prize.
I decided to do a male card for a change and used 'Be Prepared' from Sassy Cheryl.

He is cut with a SB curved rectangle with a faux nestie behind him. I added MFT fishtail stax and the sentiment is mounted on a SB lacy circle. The twine, watch, buttons and papers are from my stash.

H is coloured with Promarkers, Flexmarkers, Triamarkers and masked off MB clouds before colouring the sky. I also added a little Prisma pencil.

The inside reflects the front.

I hope you will pop over and see the fabulous cards the DT have made this week and enter the challenge. You can never have enough Flexmarkers :)

Annabel - Sugar Nellie

Good afternoon everyone and welcome to my new follower Fae.
I have been asked a few times about the colours I use for hair. For light blonde hair I use Promarkers Sandstone, Buttercup, Daffodil Bloom and Egg Nog.  To make it a little darker I add Pineapple Crush and Carmel and Flexmarkers in Cappucino and Champagne.
For red hair as in today's card I use Chestnut, Terracotta, Raw Sienna, Amber and Ginger or a combination of these. (I think I may have added Umber to this one)
I was also asked about the background scene I added to my 'Goldie 2' card. It's from Sassy Studio Designs but unfortunately when I checked back it has been discontinued.

So onto today's card which has been coloured up for ages, but I'm not sure about it as the edges of the hair appear choppy. It's Annabel from Sugar Nellie.

She is cut with a Marrianne die, which was coloured up with distress ink in the die, and layered up onto co-ordinations which has been embossed. The pearls are from my stash and the flowers from WOC. The leaves are a Crealies die.

She is of course coloured with Promarkers and Flexmarkers and a little Prisma pencil.
