Shelley - Sylvia Zet - Wee Stamps - PFP DT

Good morning everyone. Welcome to my new follower Lisa who is a new member of the PFP team 1 DT, and who makes gorgeous cards.Back today with another Sylvia Zet image, another one that I had to buy as soon as I saw it. It's for this weeks challenge at Passion for Promarkers where the theme chosen by Jane is a Bingo board.

I chose to use Diecuts - Free - Glitter.
She is cut using a SB Fleur de Lis rectangle. MB Oceana border die and LOTV grungy sentiment. The charms and silver netting ribbon are from The Ribbon Girls. Shells and pearls from my stash. The netting at the top is actually from a supermarket fruit box :)

She is of course coloured with Promarkers, Flexmarkers and a little Prisma pencil and I added copious amounts of Glamour dust to the waves. I used MB clouds to mask of some of the sky before colouring.

I added the new MB Big Splash border to the inside.

I wish glitter showed as well in pictures as it does on cards.

This is the bingo board, lots of choices there.

Our sponsor this week is the generous Bugaboo Stamps who are offering the winner 7 digital images of their choice.

I hope you will enter this weeks challenge and will pop over and see the fabulous cards the other DT girls have made.

Birthday Baby Girl - Sylvia Zet - Wee Stamps

Good afternoon and welcome to my new follower Karen, thank you for joining my blog.
It's still freezing up here but thankfully still no snow.
Today's card features the cutest little girl by Sylvia Zet. I do love her images and they are so easy to colour up.

She is cut using SB adorning squares. The papers are from Nitwits, flowers from WOC and the leaves are a MS punch. Ribbon and pearls from Mei flower and sentiment from LOTV.

She is coloured with Promarkers, Flexmarkers and Prisma pencils and I added stickles to the flowers, glossy accents to the icing on the cake, a little distress ink  and Cosmic Shimmer pearl to the dots.

The inside does reflect the front.

Thanks for taking the time to look at my card. Hope your weekend is going well

Muriel - Saturated Canary

Good afternoon everyone, it certainly looks like Spring up here today, the sun is shining. I'm finally starting to feel a little better, my head ache is just a dull pain where earlier in the week it was more like a migraine.
I bought this little beauty as soon as she appeared and coloured her up last week and have finally made her into a card. Yes another Krista image 'Muriel'

She is cut using SB labels 25 with MFT fishtail stax be hind her. The papers are from Dovecraft  back to basics. I love this pad as I think purple and green work so well together. Ribbon, charm and pearls from Mei Flower. Flowers are WOC and lace from my stash. The butterflies are a MS punch.  I bought 3 sets of new LOTV sentiment stamps at Harrogate last week as I feel I need to use them more.

She is of course coloured with Promarkers, Flexmarkers and a little Prisma pencil. I added Stickles to the flowers and butterflies and a little purple glitter to the pansies.

The inside does reflect the front.

I am entering the following challenges :-

Now I'm going to have some lunch and settle down to an afternoon of blogging
Thanks for taking the time to look

Faery Emma - The Paper Shelter DT

I finally appear again. Good job being on DT forces you to get yourself in gear. Have to admit to being 'off' for a couple of weeks, must be the shock of the milestone birthday. Also had this new bug that appears to be going round. So my apologies for being missing in action again.

My card today is for the new challenge at The Paper Shelter where this weeks theme is 'Let it be Spring', and about time it was too. I have used a fab new image called 'Faery Emma', knew I had to use her as soon as I saw her.

She is fussy cut and I used Wild Rose Studio backing paper. I added MB Hollyhocks, tree and spring border. The fence is Doohicky and the butterflies are Cheery Lynn.

She is of course coloured with Promarkers and Flexmarkers/. I also coloured up the hollyhocks and flower border. I added Diamond Sparkles to her wings and to the butterflies and a little stickles to the flower on her hat.  The gems are from my stash.

The inside does reflect the front and the sentiment is computer generated and cut with a MFT Fishtail stax.

As usual our prize is a $30 gift voucher to spend in the store if you use a TPS image or 3 digi's of your choice for any other entries.

I hope you will take the time to pop over and see the fabulous cards the other DT girls have made for your inspiration.

Birthday card made by my friend Carol

Good afternoon everyone. I had a fab family lunch yesterday, even indulged in a desert. Thank you for the birthday wishes you left for me.
I wanted to share a card one of my friends made for me. She makes beautiful cards, but doesn't blog and isn't into stamping.

Would you believe it's cut from a net curtain? The picture doesn't really do it justice as it's gorgeous.  She made a beautiful box for it too.

The ribbon is even covered in stars :)

I know she reads my blog, so thank you so much Carol, I will treasure it, as I do all the other cards you have made for me.

Hope you're all having a good day. I will be back later to check out your blogs. I have to make a carot cake to take into work tomorrow, and have to shop for the ingredients first.

Winner of my candy

Hi everyone I have just done the number generator for my blog candy. The winner is:

Counting down through the comments that's Kim
Congratulations Kim. If you would like to email me your address I will sort out getting this posted off to you

Almost my Birthday, in more ways than one

This post will stay at the top until 12.03.13

Good morning everyone and welcome to my new follower.
I can hardly believe that on the 8th of March I will have been blogging for a whole year. What a year that has been. I have to say a huge thanks to so many people for the inspiration they give me with the amazing cards they produce, especially Bev Rochester, as if I had never found her blog I would never have started, mind you I would be a few thousand pounds richer and wouldn't have boxes of 'stuff' all over my house :). I wouldn't also be part of two of the best DT, and still can't believe they chose me to join them.
The other thing I am celebrating, or should I be hiding from is the BIG 60 on March 12th, a birthday I'm really not looking forward to as I think that means I am old :(.

Anyway enough waffle. To thank the people who decided to follow my blog, many of whom I think of as friends, I have a little candy to share with you. I will draw it on my birthday.

It contains:-
a Core impressions 12 x 12 pad( brown and cream collection),

4 x American Seam Bindings,
3 x assorted flowers from WOC,
1 pk prima flowers pink,
5 x silver butterflies, and assorted charms..

I will delete any candy only blogs. But would ask you to show my candy on your  blog and be a follower of mine, and leave a comment to enter. I will post world wide to the winner who of course will be chosen at random

Canary Dutch Girl - Saturated Canary/Digi Doodles

Good Morning everyone and welcome to my new followers. Well it finally arrived.... the big 60.  I did manage to squash the idea of a big party, so today I am going out for a family lunch and on Friday we are having a girls night out.
Today's card is for the Passion for Promarkers DT where I chose the theme of 'From Around the World'. This gives you lots of scope as it can be people, scenes, objects, anything just tell us where in the world it's from.
For my card I have used Canary Dutch Girl (with the canary removed) and I used Digi Doodles windmill behind her.

I cut her out and added her to the straight cut windmill. The backing paper was made from a Delft tile I found on the internet which I 'tiled'. I had to chuckle when I looked at the finished card as I realised I had put it on upside down :)  The corners are Marianne Anja  and also the ribbon border. Leaves from Crealies. Flowers WOC and pearls and ribbon from my stash.

She is of course coloured with Promarkers, Flexmarkers and Prisma Pencils.

The inside does match the front, even down to the upside down tiles.

We are being sponsored this week by Clearly Besotted Stamps  and the lovely Stephanie is offering one lucky winner a 4x6 stamp set called “Going Places” which is very apt for our theme this week!

Don’t forget to be eligible for our prize draw you must use your Letraset products (promarkers, aqua markers, flex markers, tria markers, metallic markers or neon markers) and of course follow the theme.
I hope you will pop over and see the fabulous cards the other DT members have created for your inspiration. I can't wait to see what you produce.

Thanks for taking the time to look
I will be back later with the name of the winner of my candy

Mother's Day Card - Marianne dies

Good morning and welcome to my new followers.... hmmmm my last day in my 50's.... I keep telling the girls at work I am going to drive them mad saying 'If the government hadn't moved the goal posts I would have been retired now'... but I suppose it also means I can't call myself a pensioner :) Another 3 years to that day....

I nearly wasn't with you again, :), this time not because of an accident but because I got a new DVD drive for my PC and when we fitted it yesterday my computer wouldn't boot up. Tried all ways but nothing :(
I thought oh my another thing to add to the list of expenses for this year :(   Then I disconnected the new drive and  had to do a start up that checked everything. 2 hours later it finally booted again phewwwwwwwwwww.

So today I will get round your blogs and catch up with my commenting and DT work.
This is another one of my commissioned cards. It was to send to Spain so couldn't be too thick.

It's a really simple one just using Marianne Anja square, Nitwit paper and flowers, pears and ribbon from my stash.  I added distress ink while it was still in the die and voila... done. The sentiment is from Pink Petticoat.

Thank's for taking the time to look.  I will be drawing my candy tomorrow

Flowers from Bamboo - Party Paws Crafters Companion

Good evening everyone from a cold and miserable North East. Welcome to my new followers.
Continuing the tale of my car.... I had all the work done at a local garage rather than the main dealers for £315, a saving of £270.... amazing what a difference it was to do exactly the same work.
So that will still leave me lots of lovely birthday money to spend at Harrogate next week :)

I couldn't resist buying the latest release from Crafters Companion, Party Paws, and got the 2 cds and 3 of the stamps.  So today's card uses one of the stamps 'Flowers from Bamboo'.

I loved this image as soon as I saw it and made it into a commissioned card for a friend. She likes 8x8's But I think this image would be better on a 6x6. I cut her using a SB labels 25 and added a faux nestie behind her. I added a MB tree and butterfly, Whimsey corners and MS punched leaves. The flowers are from WOC and gems and ribbon from my stash. The sentiment is LOTV.

She is coloured with Promarkers and I added distress ink for the sky and around the papers which are from the Party Paws cd and from Boofle.

The inside does reflect the front

Make a Wish - The Paper Shelter - TPS DT

Good morning everyone and welcome to my new followers.
What a week this has been, yep me moaning again. On Monday while driving back to work at lunchtime my car decided to die on me. Unfortunately it was just after a bend on a dual carriage way and in the outside lane.  Talk about my life flashing before my eyes !!! I could see the cars behind me swerving all over the road to avoid hitting me and each other, it could have been a really bad pile up. Fortunately we all got away with it. I kept trying to get it to start again and after 20 attempts it was still dead so I got out the number for the rescue service and decided to have one last try before calling.... it started.... phewwwwwwwww.... I drove straight round to the garage which was just around the corner. £303 later and with a new ignition coil I was back on the road.  Definitely not an experience I want to go through again. My other bad news was that they discovered another £586 of other work that needed doing... but as this was main dealer prices I am checking out other garages in the area.
So here I am still alive to tell the tale :)
Onto today's card which is made using the new TPS image 'Make a Wish'. I fell in love with her as soon as I saw her. Our challenge this week is Punches and Dies. I really do appear to be in a turquoise mood atm :)

This is quite a plain card for me... no flowers, but I didn't want to distract to much from the image. She is cut using a SB Fleur de Lis rectangle.  The backing paper is ancient and I added a MS punch down the edge and MS butterflies.  Beaded cord, pears and corners from my stash.

She is of course coloured with Promarkers, Flexmarkers and Prisma pencils and I added distress in to the background. Her wings and the butterflies are covered with Diamond Sparkles Fairy Dust. She really does twinkle in real life.

The inside does match the front but with a different MS border added.

I hope you will join in with our challenge this week where of course the prize is $30 to spend in the store if you use a TPS image or 3 digi's of your choice for any other image.

Do pop over and see what the other DT members have created for your inspiration. We do have several new girls on the team this week.

Thanks for taking the time to read my ramblings, and to look at my card

ps. I do still have candy up for grabs for another week

Easter Dress - Saturated Canary

Good afternoon everyone and welcome to my new followers, I'm so happy that you decided to follow my blog.
I seem to be meeting myself coming backwards atm. I have so many mother's day cards to make I need 48 hour days. A couple of birthday ones too, so my apologies for not being a good blogger. I will get round eventually.
Today's card was another commission for Easter this time. As soon as I saw this Krista image I knew it would be perfect for the little girl I made it for.  I think this image is gorgeous, it's Easter Dress.

It's another 8x8, I know the lady who ordered this likes big cards. I cut her out, I wanted to use the paper behind her, and mounted her on a stamped SB grand decorative oval with a grand oval behind it. I added MB corners, leaves and butterfly. A Cheery Lynn Queen Anne lace border, and finally got to use my MFT fishtail flag stacks.  Flowers are from WOC. Pearls, charm and ribbon from my stash. The papers are from Nitwits.

She is of course coloured with Promarkers, Flexmarkers and Prisma pencils. I added tumbled glass distress ink the the edges and Glamour Dust to the butterfly.

The inside does reflect the front
