Castle - Guest Designer DYSU landscape challenge

I hope this is appearing at the right time..... I will be shot if it appears too early.
I was lucky to be picked as a guest designer at Do You Stack Up a couple of weeks ago and have to admit was a little daunted by what the challenge was. Landscapes !!! Not a subject I had ever tried before.  It took a few attempts to come up with my card and I even reverted back to my old ways and did the castle as a decoupage.

I wanted a fairytale feel to it and used rainbow mirror card for highlights, the other papers, ribbon and pearls  are from my stash. Corner dies from Memory box, sentiment and flowers from WOC and image ans sentiment cut with Spellbinders. Leaves are a MS punch.

I coloured with Promarkers, flexmarkers and Prisma pencils.

I think this is the hardest card I have had to make, purely due to it not being a subject I would have chosen.

Thanks for looking... At this moment I am probably enjoying 40o heat on the Nile.... and sipping cocktails of course...... :)

You've nailed it! Perfect scene card, like the opening of a Disney fairytale. That rainbow mirror and soft blue background really highlights the castle. Beautiful job, Eileen!
