Christmas Visitors - Sheena Douglas - Winter Wonderland DT.

Good morning I am back today with a card for our month long challenge at Winter wonderland, where I am the host.  The theme is 'Christmas Carols/Songs, so that covers just about everything from traditional to modern.  I have used a Sheena Douglas stamp set called 'Christmas Visitors' and my carol is 'The Holly and the Ivy'.

The holly is part of the stamp set, and I think the ivy is from Marianne Designs.  The image is straight cut and mounted onto Tattered Lace squares, I used dark blue glimmer card, red satin card and matt silver mirror card for my layers.  The two snowflake corners are from Wild Rose Studios. Sentiment from LOTV,cut with an EK success punch and an xcut outer layer. The flowers are from WOC and ribbon and gems from my stash.

The background was made using my Ebrush and I covered the image and added snowflakes to the background using Drawing Gum.  I used glossy accents on the ivy, berries, and the birds eye and beak. Some Nuvo glitter on the leaves and finally some stardust stickles to the flowers.

The inside does match the front with the addition of a WRS frame.

As this is a month long challenge we have 4 wonderful sponsors giving very generous prizes.

Little Claire who are offering this fabulous set of images

Marianne Designs who are giving this wonderful prize

Crafter's Companion who are giving a £10 voucher to spend in store

Bunny Zoe's who are offering a £10 voucher to spend in store

So you have plenty of time to try to win one of these, which are all chosen randomly.

My other snowflake teamies have again made some fabulous cards for your inspiration this week and I hope you will take the time to check them out here.Don't forget, it has to be a Christmas project and you need to name what carol/song your card is based on

Good morning and welcome to my new follower Julie, so happy you decided to join my site.  Today is the start of a new challenge at Passion for Promarkers where our theme chosen by Julie, a different one, is 'Flowers'.  We want to see flowers on your card either a floral image, and image with flowers, floral paper or floral embellishments, so lots of scope there.  I have used a digi from the 'Digi Stamp Boutique' called 'Truffle with Flowers', he is so cute that I thought he would make a great get well soon card.

He is cut with Tattered lace squares, as are all the layers.  I used Memory Box clouds as a mask and just coloured up the sky with my markers.  The dp is from Nitwits and ribbon from my stash. A really CAS card for me.

He is coloured with Triamarkers, Flexmarkers and Promarkers. I also added glossy accents to his nose and eyes.

The inside does reflect the front of the card.

Owl Spirit - Aurora Wings

Another just for fun card, and yet again from the lovely Mitzi at Aurora Wings.  This time I have used 'Owl Spirit'. Think I need to take the fur and feather class to colour a better owl.

She is cut using Tattered lace rectangles and mounted onto co-ordinations cards.  The butterflies are Joanna Sheen dies and the ribbon and pearls are from my stash.

I added lots of faux pearls using Tonic Nuvo drops. I also added glossy accents to her earrings and the owl's eyes.

Holy Night - The Paper Shelter - Winter Wonderland DT

Good morning, it's Friday so that means it's time for a new challenge at Winter Wonderland where our new 'Snowflake' Lesley is hosting the challenge which is themed 'Traditional Christmas Colours.

For my card I have used a beautiful Christmas image from The Paper Shelter called 'Holy Night'. A very CAS card from me.  I created a PNG and placed the image on the backing paper that comes with the image.  I used huge amount of glitter on this one. The trees are covered with Glamour Dust, her hat has a mixture of Flowersoft and glamour dust.  The turnback of her sleeve and dress have Nuvo glitter added to them, and she is standing on Ice Crystals.  The snowflakes are the waste from a Martha Stewart punch. The sentiment is from LOTV and was cut with xcut punches, and finally the border has gold nuvo drops as faux gems.

Still can't get the glitter to show. She is coloured with Triamarkers, Flexmarkers and Promarkers, and I used some Sakura gold pen on the trim of her coat.

The inside does match the front.

So come on, it definitely is time to start on your Christmas cards and you may be lucky and win a $15 voucher to spend in the paper shelter shop.

The Paper Shelter :: Digital stamps, Papers, Printables, Scrapbooking, Greeting cards, Accesories and More!

The other snowflake ladies have made some beautiful cards for your inspiration this week and they can be found here.

Don't forget it has to be a Christmas project to enter the challenge.

Fuchsia Sprite - Aurora Wings

Good morning back today with a just for fun card that I made to enter this month's Aurora Wings Challenge blog.  I have used Fuchsia Sprite.

This is quite CAS for me. She is cut using a Tattered Lace die and I love how the flower frame cuts separately so that it can be made in a different colour.  Don't know what happened to the colour in the photos as they do match the backing paper IRL. The outer frame is also from the same die set, and I embossed the background with a Cloud folder.

She is coloured with Triamarkers, Flexmarkers and Promarkers.

A view of the inside with the addition of a Desire word die and J.Sheen butterflies.

A side view which shows the ribbon, pearls and dazzler from my stash.
