Good morning I am back today with a card for our month long challenge at Winter wonderland, where I am the host. The theme is 'Christmas Carols/Songs, so that covers just about everything from traditional to modern. I have used a Sheena Douglas stamp set called 'Christmas Visitors' and my carol is 'The Holly and the Ivy'.
The holly is part of the stamp set, and I think the ivy is from Marianne Designs. The image is straight cut and mounted onto Tattered Lace squares, I used dark blue glimmer card, red satin card and matt silver mirror card for my layers. The two snowflake corners are from Wild Rose Studios. Sentiment from LOTV,cut with an EK success punch and an xcut outer layer. The flowers are from WOC and ribbon and gems from my stash.
The background was made using my Ebrush and I covered the image and added snowflakes to the background using Drawing Gum. I used glossy accents on the ivy, berries, and the birds eye and beak. Some Nuvo glitter on the leaves and finally some stardust stickles to the flowers.
The inside does match the front with the addition of a WRS frame.
As this is a month long challenge we have 4 wonderful sponsors giving very generous prizes.
Little Claire who are offering this fabulous set of images
Marianne Designs who are giving this wonderful prize
Crafter's Companion who are giving a £10 voucher to spend in store
Bunny Zoe's who are offering a £10 voucher to spend in store
So you have plenty of time to try to win one of these, which are all chosen randomly.
My other snowflake teamies have again made some fabulous cards for your inspiration this week and I hope you will take the time to check them out here.Don't forget, it has to be a Christmas project and you need to name what carol/song your card is based on
Thanks for taking the time to look
